I've shopped there twice since the security breach, but I've paid cash. It probably is safer there now though than any other store!
Have you shopped at Target online or in store?

Yes, it hasn't stopped me at all. I probably should be a *little* more concerned.

I still shop there as much as I did before which might be like once a month?

I still shop in the store. I feel like security breaches could and do happen anywhere.

This is interesting and my husband was asking me the same question. After the breach and their stock took a dive, he bought a bunch because he felt like they did everything right to fix it and have a solid business plan, will see what shoppers think going forward...

Yep, not at all concerned. I don't think it was a poor reflection of them that they got hacked, could happen to anyone. And they've done more than enough to make up for it.

Yep. Only a handful of times since I replaced my target runs with gym workouts. But I only use the Target redcard there now

Yeah, we just use our credit card. The breech hasn't stopped us from shopping there.

I didn't even bat an eye lol, I love Target and I shop both at stores & online w/ my Red card!

At least once a week and I use my Target debit card every single time!

lol... breach?
yep! still shop there! i never worry too much about that because credit companies are usually really good about cancelling accounts if you find or suspect that someone is using your money. I have cancelled my card (MC) twice for a couple reasons and there were zero issues and they were so helpful. I never worry about that kind of stuff!

I still shop at Target with my redcard. I think the security issue could have happened to any company and I tend to think that Target is probably safer now than other companies.

I don’t shop at Target often (breach or no breach), but the breach didn’t have any impact on my shopping habits. As long as a company isn’t being negligent about their cyber security, I don’t think they are to blame. Breaches happen every.single.day; most we never hear about. I view breaches as the downside of having the convenience of using credit cards everywhere and having online shopping, etc. I just watch my credit report a little closer now, which also isn’t a bad thing!

Yes, I feel like it can happen anywhere and it doesn't make much sense to react after the fact.

I'm totally not concerned. I use an Amex most of the time and I always feed like "scammers, just try to defraud me!!!"
pomegranate / 3895 posts
Yes, didn't impact my shopping there at all. HOWEVER, my account was not defrauded as a result of the breach, so I don't think about it as much as I would if it had been.

Yep. it could happen anywhere, at any store. Happened at a local grocery chain as well.
pomegranate / 3791 posts
Yep, it hasn't changed my shopping habits at all. I'm with everyone else who says it could happen to almost any store.
persimmon / 1331 posts
Yes. I can't even count how many times I've been there since the breach. Still use the red card too.
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
No, but because I didn't shop there a lot before.
I have pretty much stopped using my debit card though.

I went there once after the breech, and also paid cash! I don't shop there very often. I'm sure next time I go I'll have completely forgotten about it!
