We generally don't do anything. We are religious but not against Halloween or anything. Just DD1 hasn't really been old enough until this year and people don't really trick or treat on our street so we've not done much in the past. This year, though, we will be going to the party they're hosting at her Little Gym. She's pretty excited and has outfits planned for all of us.

No... DD was not even a year old last year, and I still think she's too young to really get it/have fun this year. We're also religious and as a family we're iffy about a lot of the roots/origins of certain traditions.
I happen to have a hand me down costume this year, so I might dress her up just to take a few pictures.

We went for the first time last year. Our downtown shops were open for trick-or-treating during early evening hours for the littler kids. DD was almost 2.5 at the time and she had a lot of fun!

Lo's first halloween we had a (hand-me-down) costume but she was only 7 months, so I put her in it and went about town, but it was def more for us than her. I think we briefly went to a halloween event, but she was too young.
Last year, we had recently moved and realized our street is actually really into Halloween (most of NYC it's not really a thing since neighborhoods can be impersonal) so we took her trick or treating and it was awesome, she loved it! we also went to an event at our local children's museum. We'll def go trick or treating again, not sure about the museum. The zoo does halloween activities too. Lo is VERY excited about her peacock costume

We did for the first time last year (age 2). We did a bunch of small things and it was really fun. She had a little costume parade with her daycare, there was an open house at the fire station down the street from our house, the local science museum had a costume dance party, and then we did maybe two blocks of trick or treating around the neighborhood with one of her daycare friends.
We'll probably do the exact same things this year except they will be spaced out over more days since Halloween is on a Monday and most of the events are on the weekend.

No, we don't do any trick or treating or parties any more. I took my son at age 3 to a Halloween bash at the children's museum, thought he would love it, but he couldn't wait to leave, so we didn't bother. Tickets were so expensive, even though we were members!
He isn't into trick or treating, he gets nervous when he has to go up to strangers and I don't like it much myself unless we were in a group.
So we stay home and he hands out the candy to the "customers" as he calls them.

Yes we go trick or treating. Our neighborhood gets really busy. We give out over 1000 pieces of candy. The kids love going around trick or treating and then we come back and hand out candy in our front yard until we run out of candy

I try to pack in as much Halloween fun as possible! I'm a big fan of celebrating the perks things though. We will go to three special events and both story time and music class encourage them to wear costumes that week. We will trick or treat on Halloween too but likely only a few houses then have friends over for pizza.

When she was 7 months, we had her dress up and we went to our neighbors house. Then last year at 1 yr 7 months we went ToTing all over our neighborhood. She lasted a LONG time. I was shocked. This year she's 2.5 and she's SO excited. I'm hoping to go to our little town's Halloween celebration put on by the local businesses and library. I want to make it to a fall festival too,but I'm not sure if we'll be able to this year.

We haven't done trick or treating yet, LO has had fun passing out candy at home. But we go to as many Halloween and fall themed activities as possible!

Our block gets closed off. It's a pretty big deal so we will do that. Sometimes, churches have holyween or something so we might do that depending on when and where.

Yes! It's not as big a thing in the UK as it is in the US And Canada but we are going trick or treating and to a few Halloween events this year

My husbands company has a party at their office for kids every year. This year we are going and I think my husband is pretty excited to show off his kid. Haha.
We live in an apartment building so trick or treating is staying inside and going floor to floor. I think we'll maybe do that since it's so easy. If it was outside going to people's houses we don't know, I'm not sure.
We didn't trick or treat when I was growing up. My first time was with a friend at age 10. I personally am not very into Halloween but I want to give it a chance with my son. -
@SweetiePie: I think I only went trick or treating twice when I was a kid. We did fall festivals and stuff and they were fun enough. But I'm not super into it either. My DH has never been trick or treating ever and he's super cautious (maybe suspicious is a better word) and would likely not let our kids touch a piece of candy until he examined it
