I do! But they're not themed, like in the same sleeper, with the same toy or backdrop. But I try to make them cute each time. Just took DS's 8 months photos!!

I didn't take specific pictures of my DD every month, but I do of DS. I put him in a diaper and a tie. I only started it about three months ago, but already there is a huge difference! I am going to have to do his 8 month pictures tomorrow!!

How cute! I love that second one. I take a monthly photo with her on a blanket with the same stuffed turtle. It's so fun seeing her grow!

yes, I do! I bought month stickers from Etsy and use them on a white onesie and dress him in some cute shorts or pants depending upon the weather. I take some on the same blanket of his whole body to show how long he's getting, some of him sitting in the glider next to a stuffed animal, and a couple close-ups in his crib. Here's a comparison of his first 3 months:

We take one every month with him in just a white long sleaved Onesie in the same laundry basket. It's so cool to see how much he's grown. I wanted to do weekly pics, but knew I wouldn't keep up with it.

I take monthly pictures in a white rocker my ILs got her. Then I use blocks to spell out her name and month.
She wouldn't sit still for her 5 months! But I absolutely love how you can see how much she grew with the constant of the rocker.

@regberadaisy: I know, I wish I would have thought of having something consistent in the photos each month before... but when he turned a month old I was sooo tired the last thing on my mind was formal pictures haha!

We do! We use a chalkboard wall...five months down! I also took pictures at the same spot when I was pregnant.

We do the Etsy sticker route in the same chair with the same stuffed giraffe. Nothing fancy.
We've done 2 and 3 month photos, too, but not on my phone.

I did for the first year- on a white swaddle background with just a diaper on. Now I just try to get A picture on the day...it's way too hard to set up a photo shoot with an active toddler!

@coco bee: i like the idea of doing non-themed photoshoots each month too. then there's no pressure for the same set up, lighting, etc. love your shots, he's too cute!

Wow, you ladies take some awesome photos! Cocobee - your photos are professional quality, love them! And PhdMommy, those chalkboard drawings are fantastic! I'm jealous.
We take a weekly photo with a little handmade sign on a quilt made for LO by my mom. My creative/artistic skills are absolute rubbish so they are very rudimentary but at least I can see how she changes each week!

I have the monthly stickers and I try to get a few shots each month. It's tough because the only time I can take the pictures is on the weekend, which are usually super busy.

we take monthlies with him in a white onesie and month stickers and he lays/sits on a lion stuffed pillow thing. i wish we had thought of something more creative...but i figure at least we are doing something....we are horrible at taking pictures!

@Ree723: @scg00387: thank you so much. I try really hard to make them look nice I invested in a nice camera many years ago, learned how to shoot manually and use photoshop. It helps a lot I was thinking of doing a guest post on some quick fixes and easy edits to photos... hmm!!

Yes, DD is just about 2 months so we have only done it once so far, but we bought the monthly onesie stickers and I put her by a sock monkey for comparison.
