We don't have a car so we always take public transportation. Charlie loves riding the subway and the bus! And it's great that we don't have to worry about a car seat.

We don't have much public transportation around here. And we have two cars so we wouldn't need to use it anyway. The first time LO will get to experience all that is in July when we're in NY for a wedding, she'll be 11 months old.

No, we live in the burbs. This summer we'll probably take the train into NYC with the LO. But she won't sit in a stroller so maybe that's not a really great plan .....

If we lived in a place with a decent public transportation system, we would use it (including LO)!

@Rubies: When I'm scared to do something I'll always make someone come with me for the first time for back up. Maybe you can go on a weekend when you're hubby can come with you to see how everything goes.

Tokyo is very public transportation friendly. The train system is incredible. I take LO on it all the time.

We don't really have great public transport where we live so we usually drive. When I was on maternity leave I tried to walk as much as possible so would try to do errands locally that I could walk to.

We don't have public transport either, but we walk everywhere! We're definitely putting our stroller to the test.

I can't drive!
The city we live in at the moment has amazing public transport, that I've been taking since I started college. DH on the other hand HATES public transport and insists that he wont let this baby be born until I have a license! If I have my way, our LO will be a public transport LO

No LO yet, but when we do have one, our adventures into the city will involve the BART system (Bay Area). Most of our travel is just by driving though.

Yup. I've taken both DDs on the subway and bus. On the weekends though, we like to take cabs or car service.

We drive everywhere here. When we're in ny we take public transportation, but the subways are so not stroller friendly.

Although we live in little town, it's still pretty convenient with public transport - though routes don't run as often. The closest bus stop I can see from my computer-nook window and the one DH takes to work is an 8 minute walk away.
I took forward to taking LO on the bus to a nearby city but I also want to get my driver's license in case of emergencies. My California license is still valid but I can only use it here for a year.
