It's snowing out today (not heavily, but more than just slight flurries), and I really wanted to take LO to buy buy baby to pick up some things we need. I would be wearing him in the ergo and getting on the train which is a block away...basically, he'd only be outside for ~10 min max in between store and train. He's 3 months old...should I just suck it up and stay home with him? For some reason I feel like snow is "worse" for babies than the cold! Silly?

i would and have when charlie was less than 3 months. he was born in december in a very cold, snowy winter so it was either stay inside all winter or go out in the snow. i think it's fine!

@Mrs. Bee: thanks! I figure we're probably having the same weather as what you guys are now, since we're in Brooklyn too...at least it's not as cold as it was last week!

Yep, I live in Canada, you're going to get out in the snow sooner or later. I just make sure her head is covered as well as her hands and feet.

Yup, I would – but I live in New England so if I never left my house when it snowed I’d be inside for like half the year!!
When I wear LO in the cold/snow, I just take a good sized, warm blanket and drape that over the carrier. It works pretty well if I put the blanket over her and over my shoulders, then put my coat on. The coat helps to keep the blanket secure. She also wears a little snowsuit type outfit.

If I didnt really have to go out, I woud stay home with a 3 month old if it was snowing.

I'm in Brooklyn too, and just got back from a run to the store with LO, and it seems downright balmy compared to last week! I used an umbrella to keep the snow off of us and help block the wind a bit, but I think last week's crazy cold and wind were much much worse. Get out for sure!

Oh gosh, if I didn't take my kid out when it was snowing I'd be inside for almost 6 months of the year! I'd never survive!

Sure, just warm them up. You'll probably go overboard and they'll be too warm and hate it. That's what always happened to me.
