My MIL asked me when we were going to start TTCing last night. I told her this fall and she immediately told me about certain positions I need to try, hip movement, etc. It was too much for me and I quickly changed the subject! lol!
Do you ever talk about sex with your parents.? I definitely DON'T but I have a friend who tells her Mom everything!

No, I don't (my mom found out when I lost my virginity and that was enough for me!) DH is pretty open about that stuff with his parents and it can get really awkward for me.

Closest ive come to talking about sex with either of my parents would probably be the time my dad told dh and I all problems can be fixed with a game of twister and vegetable oil...

Eeeew! I would be totally skeeved out if my Mom or MIL decided to start telling us about positions!! We do not discuss sex. Sex does not happen. Babies are brought by storks.

NO! But my MIL and FIL get a little loopy when drinking and they start making innuendos and whatnot towards each other. Usually it's pretty funny.

The last time they brought something up, my MIL asked if DH had been kicked by the boys. I thought she meant did he feel them through my belly yet, so I replied yes and that he loves the time we can just lay down and talk to them and feel their movements.
Turns out MIL meant did the boys kick him during sex... internally! She restated what she said, and while covering my face as it turned beet red, I mumbled "Well I don't think so..."

absolutely not! never with my dad but with my mom there have been occasions when it has been brought up when i was younger and unmarried, but they were always amidst some big fight and there were tears involved. more recently i did talk to her about TTC, with very vague details and it really wasn't that bad or awkward.
