Living Social has a voucher for a three-hour house cleaning from a local eco company for $89. Is that a good deal? I'm thinking it might be good to have them come in like my 39th week or right after we get home from the hospital, but I don't know if I want to spend $89 lol.

YES. Super max cleans in my area start at $120, and even that is pretty cheap.

I find that pretty pricy for a LS deal. The most i paid was $35/hr and she used natural products (i.e., vinegar, lemon, baking soda, elbow grease). I figure with a LS deal, it should be cheaper. But i guess companies are usually more expensive. It all depends on what the cleaning entails!

Yes, definitely! I'm trying to think about which would be better... right before baby arrives or right after. I really wanted someone to clean my house right after the baby arrived, but you might want your privacy at that time, so maybe during your 39th week would be better.

It doesn't seem like a fantastically low price, but it does seem reasonable for regular pricing. I have a cleaning service that cleans my 1600 sq foot 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath house for $90 each time.

I think so! I just hired cleaners to come once a month, and the going rate around here is $50-55/hr for 2 cleaners with a 2 hour minimum.

Yes---I pay 30/h for cleaning and I live in a very low-cost of living area. On top of that: it takes her 5 hours so $150. If these people can get a lot done in 3 hours for $89, I'd do it in a heartbeat!
When I was using Molly Maids, they charged $45 an hour. I didn't stay with them for long:)
Plus I'd imagine they would do the entire house and then some if you're saying 1500sq ft. -

Not really... Here I pay $100 for 3 cleaners that take just over an hour on our 2000 sqft house. Make sure you know how many cleaners you get for the 3 hours (most likely 1, or 2 for 1.5hrs, etc). And definitely check Yelp reviews! I bought one of those from an eco company once and they took longer/didn't do as good of a job because the eco products don't work as well. Good that your coworker at least liked them though!
