Sometimes I think we should display post counts at the top of the page... just because I see people mention that they don't know what their post count is unless they drop a comment!
You can always click on your profile link to see your post count, but I think maybe people don't realize that... or maybe it's just too many clicks to bother with!
Anyway, do you think we should display post counts in the top toolbar?

That would probably be nice! And I'm guilty of being too lazy to click on my profile to check. As long as you don't take away the post shortcut!

I would say no, but I guess I don't really care what my "count" is. If it gets brought up, it's just a matter of a single click to my name if I need to know.

I don't think is a huge deal. I don't post to just increase my count or rank. I post when I have something meaningful to say.

Where do you mean? Like where it says Hello ____ (posts) / logout?
That might be nice for some, but I don't think it's necessary or something that is a big deal because I don't really care what my total post count is on a day to day basis. I can always just check my profile if I really need to know

I don't think it's necessary, but I sometimes wish there was a post count on the initial post in a thread, so I could tell whether the person was new and welcome them, etc.

@Pirouette: Definitely agree! It's just tricky because we use a similar format for boards and blog posts, and it wouldn't make as much sense to show that info on the blog. We haven't figured out an elegant way to split the difference yet...
