I definitely could NOT.
It seems to be popular with the celebs though..

nope! i have a huge head, and crazy curly hair. i'd look like a chub-o with an afro... not cute!

I had one a while ago! I didn't think I could pull it off but had gotten a really bad shorter haircut and after having it drive me crazy--too short to tuck behind your ears, hard to put up, etc--I pulled the trigger. It was better than I thought!

I had a pixie/boy cut for a few years, and it was really cute on me then! I wish I had a picture on my computer.

Ab.so.lutely.not.
This face doesn't play with nothing framing/hiding it.

you have to have a small face to pull it off. i could never ever do it!

The pre-pregnancy size 0 me could have and did....now? not so much.
my face is still a little too round lol

Hell to the no. I chopped off all my hair in third grade and a guy at Home Depot called me "little boy." I have had long hair ever since!

My mom thought it would be cute if I got a boy cut in 8th grade. It was NOT cute.
My friend who is my hair stylist has one now though and it looks so cute on her!

Abso-friggin-lutely not. Like @artbee, my mom talked me into a boy cut in middle school. It was horrendous and I still cringe about it. So traumatic.

I have had a boy cut before. I think it looks better on me than long hair but its more work to maintain and gives me less options. I also feel that my eyebrows and skin have to be perfect if my hair is so short

I think so! I actually love my hair short but since the baby, gaining weight with pregnancy, etc., my long hair has been my security blanket.

No way! I had a pixie cut when I was younger and it didn't work well. Plus, the growing out phase totally sucked. It wasn't short, it wasn't long. It just looked awkward all the time.

@Mrsbells: me too! I have the face and head shape for it, but it's a lot of work!

I had it cut really short once. Kind of a slightly longer pixie. I actually really likes it but still don't have the guts to do it again. I think about it a lot though.

I had one in HS! I think I rocked it, but it was a ton of work! Being able to run out of the house with a pony-tail is so much easier! There's no way I can pull it off now though. It'll accentuate my Mommy chubs

Yep, I rocked a boy cut in high school but it's a lot of work to keep trimmed and styled. You can't rock 'fresh out of bed' when you have super short hair.

I've had a super short "boy" haircut before when I was younger and my face (and body!) was much slimmer. My face is much rounder now so I would not be able to pull it off ever again.

Yes! Because I have one right now and I get lots of compliments on it--even though it took some getting used to. As soon as my hairline grows back I'm going even shorter: like Jill Scott in this photo:

@mrsjazz: Nice! what happened to your hairline? Did you have braids or something?
coconut / 8234 posts
@Mrsbells: Post-partum hair loss happened. I actually used to have long, thick dreadlocks but I cut them after I gave birth because they were super annoying and hot. I'm glad I cut them off before the hair loss started. But I have a receding hairline and can cover it now, if I cut my hair shorter everyone will see it and I will really look like a balding old man

No way. My head is kind of lumpy. My hair hides that!

No way for me. And my DH would totally hate it too. My hair doesn't look good short!
squash / 13764 posts
I wish I could! I have a small face and somewhat small features, so maybe I could? But I'm waaay too chicken to ever try it.
honeydew / 7687 posts
I don't know why more people don't try it- it is just hair! It grows back! I've had my hair from 2 inches below my shoulder to boy cut pixie. I don't have a small face/head.. I think it works! I have a few friends, who like others on this thread, tried a short cut in middle school and hated it and won't ever go back. I can guarantee your styling techniques are different now
I love air fluffing and being out the door with dry hair after a shower in 15 minutes!

@mrsjazz: Haha!! Hope your hairline grows back fast. Dh used to have his hair in locs a few years ago but he decided to go short now

I LOVE the look of it, but I have a giant Swedish head and huge features (big eyes, big lips) and i would look silly. I look silly when i cut it too short
