If you went back and in time and talked to your childhood self... do you think she would be impressed with what you've achieved?

Nope! Not at all. HA. Childhood self would expect me to be a doctor and professor of medicine + a mom of at least 2 by now.

Yes, I think so. I married a great man, have a wonderful son (and a baby on the way), own a house and have great friends. I'm not filthy rich but I never wanted to be anyway. I always preferred comfort over luxury.

Yeah, for sure. I've accomplished everything I've wanted - I did well and worked hard.

My childhood self only wanted to have a career I enjoy, a decent house, a nice car, and a dog. I have all of the above, so I think childhood me would be happy! I was an easy to please kid LOL!

I would have expected more kids by now, and I would have gotten married earlier. Education and career wise, I'm probably exactly where I thought I'd be.

Yes, I think so. I graduated college a year early, started my career teaching, began grad school, and married a wonderful man. And I'm only in my early 20's...I think if I told myself a few years ago what I'd accomplish by now, I wouldn't believe it haha.

Nope, my childhood self thought I would be a Supreme Court Justice.

Definitely, my childhood self lived in the Asian projects so she would totally be impressed by what I've accomplished.

Yes...I didn't really have any expectations when I was a kid. Future, huh? What is that??

Hopefully?! Childhood me had big plans to travel all over the world – childhood me had no sense of how expensive paying for college and living on your own is ;-p

For sure! I think my childhood me would be surprised that I own a house, have a thriving career, and most of all SHOCKED that I have a husband all before 30. (I never wanted to be married til my 30s and never dreamed about weddings or any of that stuff.)

@mrbee: Basically the low-income housing area of town mostly occupied by recent immigrants. Not quite ghetto cause it was actually pretty safe but definitely not the burbs.

Yes and no. Yes because all is still well, no just because my youth self would be dissapointed to hear the Military did not end up being a carreer for me because I got injured.

I think so, yes! Childhood me never really planned on leaving the midwest and I have lived in London and New York now and I have been lucky enough to be able to travel quite a bit. I think it's pretty cool, though as I get older I do think about going back home someday.

I think so. I think my childhood self would probably wonder why I didn't get that PhD I always wanted though.
