LO 1 doesn't cry very often at age 4. LO 3 is 7 months and cries in situations like being tired, hungry, regular baby stuff, etc.
I feel like LO 2 cries a lot right now over small things that didn't bother her before. She will be 3 years old next month and she has been pretty dramatic and emotional for the last two weeks! Threenager?!

dd - yes! shes all drama and theatrics. (also a threenager..)
ds - no, when he cries its usually when hes hurt or hungry, but he gets over it fast.

DD wasn't the best sleeper or eater, but she also didn't cry much so whenever she did cry, I knew she really needed something. It's still true now... Except she has fake cries and other cries lol.

Lo1 is 2.5 and yes, for her age I think she does.
Lo2 is 3 months and really doesn't! Just when she is hungry or overtired. It's nice.

DS1 is almost 4 and doesn't cry very often. Usually only if he gets hurt or if he is in big trouble!
DS2 is 15 months and I feel like he cries a lot! He is a disaster climbing on stuff and falling and getting hurt often. Also, I just think he's in the phase where he can't communicate so cries / fusses for what he wants.

DD1 is almost 4, but pretty sensitive so she will often cry if she does something "wrong", in addition to being pretty quick to cry if she gets hurt, etc.
DD2 is 16mo and rarely cries...except when big sister steals her toys or knocks her over

DD hardly ever cries. She only cries if she is going to throw up or occasionally when she's really tired.
DS cries all the time. Atleast 8 hours a day. "Colic".

My son is 3.5 and, yeah, he has ALL the feels. When he cries for the umpteenth time I just sing that song to myself: "It's alright to cry. Crying gets the sad out of you..."
My daughter is 10 weeks and used to be borderline colicky, but now cries what I think is a normal amount for a baby.

DD is nearly 12 months and has never been a big crier. I feel lucky she turned out that way, since it has made me pretty confident that when she does cry, there's something wrong that I probably know how to fix. Her daycare teachers have commented on it, how she hardly ever really cries, she just kind of makes this sad noise when she's unhappy.

I don't know what normal is anymore.
They definitely cry, at 3.5 and almost 6m. When healthy I don't think they're beyond normal and my 6m baby is pretty chill.

In the past DD1 cried a lot. But she was a poor sleeper so was very overtired so that explains a lot of it. And though she's only 2.5 I feel like she's starting to learn how to handle waiting and disappointment and big emtional a bit better. I'd say she cries an average amount.
DD2 had reflux so there was a ton of night crying for a while. And right now she has strep throat so her crying is way way on the extreme end. But usually shes a pretty chill kid and doesn't really cry. She uses whining to communicate versus crying. She's 11 months.

DD1: so dramatic (3 1/2.) I feel like she should be outgrowing it soon but she cries a lot, especially when tired.
DD2: 1 year old - only cries when upset or in pain, when she cries I know something is up because it is so against her nature.

DS is almost 2.5, and I'd say he barely cries. When he does, it's a very quiet cry.

I think she cries maybe slightly less than normal for her age (almost 2). I mean, she cries OFTEN but almost never for more than like, 15 seconds.

No she's never been a big crier. My sitter and her husband comment all the time how she never cries!

My LO hardly ever cried and even when she did it would be for maybe a few seconds. She could bash her face and have blood gushing and she'd only cry for a few seconds. She was the easiest baby/toddler. Then she turned 3 and there are so many emotions! Mostly she cries when in trouble or if something doesn't go exactly as she wanted/expected. But we are so lucky (crosses fingers the next one is just as easy!) bc even now her tears are short lived and few and far between

Not at all. We got lucky. T is 7 months old and while he gets "fussy" if he's overtired or hungry, he rarely truly cries. Occasionally in the car seat or during middle of the night diaper changes. He hates those!

as a newborn/infant, not too much. Lately, though, at 22 months, the struggle is real! I think it's a combination of frustration in not being able to express and explain himself and exerting his independence. But he rarely cries for a long period of time- he recovers really well. And I haven't seen a true tantrum yet. I'm just waiting for that day.....

She's probably average in terms of frequency and duration, but she is the loudest crier I think I've ever heard!
