I just realized that I'm turning 32 soon.
I feel really young, but 32 isn't really a young number.
Do you feel old? Do you think you're old?

i'm turning 34 this year. but since i have 2 kids i don't feel old.
i remember when i was in my early 20's i thought 20 was so old. ha it seems young now! i think the older you get, the younger you feel.

I KNOW I am old! ( There's a newly minted 4 at the front of my age!). Scarily though I don't feel old and I delude myself that I don't look old. I have convinced myself that having an infant LO makes me seem younger ( " She couldn't be that old, she has a baby"). Denial is a sweet gig.

I don't think I'm old, but seeing little cousins graduate or nephews getting older makes me feel like I'm getting old.

i just turned 32. sometimes i feel old, but not really... i'm definitely the youngest parent among the parents at DD's preschool. later in my 30s i'm sure the "i feel old" feeling will really start sinking in.....

Not exactly, I'm 20 and SO is 32 and I act closer in age to him. Whenever I hang out with people my own age either at work or who I went to school with, I tend to feel older than them. I'm settled down, trying to have a family whereas they are still drinking and partying up. So while I don't feel old, I feel older than I am. If that makes sense.

I'll be 33 this year. I feel especially old bc we still don't have kids (but just had a m/c)

@Ohlizaa: That's how I feel. I'm 22 so I know I'm not "old," but many of my friends are still in college/just graduated, and while some of them are in relationships, none of my close friends are married (except for my very best friend, but she's a little older). It gets tough because I feel like we can't really relate to each other anymore and that in turn makes me "feel old" I guess.

Not usually. I am still young for my neighborhood so I feel good that we can afford to live in a nice area at a younger age than most. I am 32 but meeting people closer to 40 with kids the same age as my LO.

@lilteacherbee: yeah I have a few acquaintances from high school who are married and an old coworker but all of my friends are still way into the rave/ get totally trashed party phase. It honestly gets pretty lonely. They don't seem to want to spend time with me anymore because im not interested in doing those things anymore. I guess I've gotten too boring.

No, but I'm really not. I'm 21. So, I feel too young more often than I feel too old for something.

I'm going to turn 29 soon... but luckily my hubby is 5 years older so he makes me feel young.

I'll be 31 in a couple of months and while it isn't old, I do feel I aged quite a bit since having LO.

lately, i have been feeling old. i'm going to be 35 (eek!) this year. at least i'm popping out 2 kids to "catch up" with my friends lol. i feel like my youth has passed by so quickly! i'm no longer an "agashi" but an ajumma. =T

@Ohlizaa: That's exactly how I feel. I'm 25 and married with a 8.5 month old. My husband is only 3.5 years older, but we started dating when he just graduated college & I was beginning. I've always felt more mature and had never been in the normal partying crowd. While most people don't want to get older, I do. I feel the need to 'catch up' in age to match my maturity. It doesn't help that I still look like a teenager.

@yin: I do too! I have such a baby face. I've had customers at work see my rings and ask me how old I am. And when I tell them they are shocked and say they would have guessed 16 or 17.

My B-day is in like 3 weeks. I am turning 25....AGAIN! Hahaha! I have been turning 25 for a few years now! ; )

I don't think I'm old. But, I've definitely noticed that I am much more conscious of my body than I was in my younger 20s. Whether it's soreness, back pain, migraines, etc. I am very much more aware of my body and the negative/positive things that can affect it. I did realize the other day that I turn 29 this year and almost collasped at the thought of it! 1 year away from 30?! NO WAY - I still feel like I'm 18!!

I'll be 32 this year as well, and I don't feel old at all. That said, I do live in L.A. Let's put it this way, when I was worried about pregnancy issues my ob-gyn said, "You're 30, in LA you're practically a Teen Mom."

I'm 30 and don't feel old - I feel like I'm just hitting my prime! (I also look younger than I am, which probably helps).
That said though, when I go places and see tons of teen moms or very young moms, or like when I went to my high school reunion and someone had a 10 year old kid...I do feel a little old.

I feel young most days. I'm 33. I don't look age which helps me feel younger.

I don't feel old. At 23 I dont consider myself old either.

Nope, I AM young and I feel young. I feel so young that it's almost weird...like I am the youngest person I know who is married, owns a house, and is having a baby. Sometimes I feel like people judge me for it. I am 23.

When I tell people that I'm going to be 37 this year, it sounds really old to me but I actually don't feel that old. In my head, I feel like I'm about 32.

I am turning 24 in about 2 months, and I feel older than I am often. I know there is so much life ahead of me, and I can't wait to get to it (especially babies), but I also have a lot of younger people in my life and things I sometimes feel I missed out on and wish I weren't this old. One of my goals is to be happy with where I am at life and enjoy the stages of life more.

I'm 28 and I don't think I'm that old maybe because I hang out with people who are older than me so I actually feel young.

I'm turning 27 4 days after my due date, and it makes me feel old. I really hope LO comes on time or early, I just don't want to say out loud that I was 27 when I had my first baby.... isn't that silly?
pear / 1787 posts
I'm almost 26 and feel old, though I've always felt older than my real age. I look older (which was great when I was a teenager, not so much anymore!) but I'm also one of the only people in my regular group of friends that is married.
