Do you tip a photographer for something like taking headshots? If so, what percent? The photographer owns her own business and the session lasts about 30 minutes. TIA!

Nope. If she owns the business, I'd assume she's charging the price she wants to get.

Since she is the owner I would say no tip is needed. If it was a staff photographer 15-20% of the package price is what is common in most private photography studios.

Nope, we've only done an owner of his/her own studio though. I think we did tip our wedding photographer (although after getting the pictures he didn't deserve it!)

I'm a photographer. I get tipped about 10% of the time. Usually if a client wants to thank me for a job done well I'll get a thank you and gift card after I deliver the images. I'm sure your photographer would appreciate a thank you note and small coffee gift card.

I've never tipped a photographer before. I think tipping should generally be reserved for people like waitresses who make below minimum wage.
