Yes! For the longest time I thought you had to have a base to use the infant car seat.

Yes, and we loved that thing! It made grocery shopping so easy since we never had to strap her out of her seat. We just took the whole thing. I miss it!

No, but only because we don't have a car! We're in the city and use our carseat in cabs, without the base.

We always did -- had a base in each car. The only time we went without a base was on a trip to North Carolina. We flew, and we didn't want to drag the base along with us. It turns out the seatbelt installation is not too bad, but it's definitely more of a pain than the snap-in base.

Yep! We each have a base. and my parents even have a spare, just in case that we got from a friend.

We had 1 base in my car used it most of the time, but on occasion (or when we flew with our carseat) we didn't bring it with us because it was wayyy to bulky (Britax Chaperone)
