I do sometimes to call people, but never to text. I'll admit I have sent a "yes" or "ok" at a stop sign or light but nothing crazy. My BFF texts like crazy while driving and it freaks me out! I hear too many bad things that happen when people text and drive. Our state just passed a law for people 21 and under, that they are not allowed to even talk on the phone while driving. I think that is probably a good thing. Do you use your cell phone while driving?

I used to text while driving but now that I've seen the dangers I quit. I talk on the phone but my car has bluetooth so I talk wirelessly. I have a 70 minute commute... I can catch up on a lot in that time!

I will text a one word answer at a stop light. However, I don't use it for calls or texting while driving. Texting, I really don't know how people do it, and calls, I honestly notice my concentration leave the road when I'm talking on the phone.
We also have a law that you're not allowed to use cell phones at all while driving, no matter what age. It's called distracted driving law and if the police feels you're distracted (phone or otherwise) you can get a ticket.

@artbee: My thoughts exactly! I'm not sure. I know it's texting for everyone, and just talking for under 21. It should be for everyone, you wouldn't believe the morons I see that are much over 21 being stupid because they are on their phone.

Using a cell phone while driving was illegal in both states I lived in before now. Here it's totally legal to drive and talk, but I'd still feel kinda weird doing it unless it was bluetooth.

It's illegal to do it here too. I do text answers at stop lights though....sneakily, in case the police are watching me.

Talking and texting are illegal here. I will occasionally send a short text if I am stopped at a traffic light. If I have to talk on the phone right away, I'll find a parking lot to stop in.
It really bothers me to see people talking on the phone while driving through the hospital parking lot.

It's illegal to have a cell phone in your hand to talk, or to text (in my state). I used to be really bad about texting while driving (I used to commute in bad traffic every afternoon) but I stopped awhile ago. Anything I have to say can wait until I stop the car.

I'll talk on the phone while driving, but I always turn on the speaker phone and don't actually hold the phone. I'm guilty of texting at stop lights. I don't text while driving anymore. There have been way too many accidents because of people texting while driving. DH texts while driving all.the.time. It makes me so angry! We have had quite a few arguments about this. Ugh!

I'll talk on the phone while driving, but not text. I'll text at stop lights or if I'm stuck in traffic. I don't understand how people can text and drive. It's impossible to keep your eyes on the road while typing correctly!! My hubby does all sorts of things while he's on the phone and it freaks me out so much I get upset. I've told him everytime we're in the car to put it away, but he still does it. Sigh.

ever since i got my 2010 soul last year, i've only really used the in car bluetooth, its so conveinent and you can actually use Siri with it too so if i really need to send a text I can. I got really upset a few months ago when it just stopped working for a few days.

I have the hands free calling in my car, so I never have to pick up the phone to answer a call. I am guilty of sending a text at stop lights, but never while driving!

i put the phone on speaker and talk but never never text. I used to text at traffic lights but with all the text bad press, I realize how dangerous it is. It just isnt worth it especially now that I have my baby in the back seat

I text at stop lights (hang head in shame), and talk via my car's blue tooth.

I have bluetooth so I will chat while driving. I text/fb/check email at stoplights, but not while moving.
