I don't have a LO, but my parents always did and as a result, I get freaked out when people call me by my first name + middle name.

Yes; it results in LO laughing even harder and usually running away from me! Stern voice fail

Yup! Anytime she's being particularly willful. When DH hears me he's like uh-oh mama means business.

I haven't done this yet... I do switch from nickname to full name though

Haha yes! Usually when she's being a stinker and she laughs...sigh.

Not when I'm being stern, but more as a term of endearment. My aunts all refer to her as firstname+middlename, too.

Haha, no. Her full name is a mouthful, it's enough for me to just 'firstnamelastname' her!

haha yup! It doesn't really work lol. My mom always called us by first name middle too.

@redsmarties: Same. Or I do it when he's being tantrum-y. "Oh, firstnamemiddlename, you're just being silly."

Yep!
It is actually was a test that we did when deciding on her name.

If I keep repeating myself and she's not listening, I call DD1 firstname-middlename to get her attn. If that doesn't work, firstname-lastname usually does the trick!
What's funny is when the girls bicker/fight, DD2 does the same thing to her.

I will do firstname + lastname to get his attention when I need to but I don't throw in his middle name (I do this to the dogs too so . . . ). He recently has been practicing his full name and learning my and DH's first names though so I think he'd think was funny if I did throw in his middle name.

nope! I don't think I ever will but who knows.
@Smurfette: when I was pregnant all of our friends said do to the "first name middle name" test for when LOs are misbehaving! They said when needed to make sure if was easy to say when we were being stern

@MamaJ: DH thought I was crazy at first but he said it totally makes sense!

Kinda. She isn't really at the age that needs scolding just yet but we have used the first/middle combo when she does something outrageous or gross.
Both my and DH' used our first/last combo but first/middle with all our siblings.

Yes, but no matter what I call her or what tone I use, she just smiles at me...

@Smurfette: Same, we tried his first- and middle name together in a stern voice to see whether they work together.
We have 3 tiers:
Nickname (shortened version of Fullname)
Fullname
Fullname + Middlename
Same was for me when growing up. When my mum was using my first and middle name I knew she ment business.
That being said we don't plan on using it often. So def. not at a gymnastics class. More like when he does something dangerous.
