We usually go to play dates! I always feel bad for my friends when the play date is over....kids are messy!

My circle of mommy friends and I share pretty well. I like hosting, because I like making fun food for the playdate and the mess doesn't bother me. What I get worried about is the mess in my house bothers others....

I hosted just as many times as I attended (when I was on mat leave),..But back then the kids were just babies - it was more for the moms. Now? I'm not sure I would host a playdate regularly with more than 1-2 other toddlers. It's tiring!

We take turns or meet at the playground. I feel like the kids get distracted at the playground and don't play with each other as much but at least there is nothing to clean up.

I usually try to meet up somewhere neutral. Our house is small and on the messier side, so we try not to have to work magic on or house all that often.

@Rubies: There were 5 crazy toddlers, 2 crawlers and 1 baby at my friend's house. Zzzzzz!

I think we will be hosting when LO gets to toddlerhood because our backyard is large and we have the pool (not that I want that risk) and we have the playroom. BUT- I am not looking forward to it at all. I am a neat freak:) and I have rules like: no eating other than at the table. I think I'll be leaning towards playground meetups, if I can get away with it

Just hosted a playdate today! I prefer hosting because then if my kids get tired or fussy it's easy to put them down on my terms.

Go to. I have a big dog and she's sweet as can be, but kids seem to be scared of her

We mix it up. Try to do every other one if we can.

We do play dates at the park for now! I'm not sure what'll happen once it's no longer park weather! I don't think I can really host, I have no toys! It'd be a boring play date for the older kids.
