I let lo wake on his own. This leads to an inconsistent schedule throughout the day.
Do you wake lo? Do you have a set schedule? I'm asking out of curiosity, I don't see this as an issue.

No, I let her sleep. She usually wakes between 830-900. When I go back to work in Sept though I will have to wake her and it makes me feel really sad!

I let both kids wake up on their own. I only wake them up if we have plans to leave the house early.

I let her sleep too, unless we have something important we need to get to like a doctor's appointment or something. She usually wakes between 7 and 8:30, so there is a pretty broad range, but it's also usually dependent on how much she was up during the night-- more wake ups means later wake time. Mama needs the later wake time too.
This morning she slept until almost 9!

No, I let him sleep, but he usually gets up around the same time. We have a flexible, but still pretty consistent, schedule.

I'm gonna have to wake LO up so that we can bring DS to school. It'll just be a matter of putting him in the car for a trip around the block, so maybe it won't be too bad.

Nope! But he's such a little alarm clock! Usually up within 15 minutes of 7am every.single.day!

I let him sleep. Unless his last nap is unusually long. I won't let him sleep past 5 because he goes to bed around 8.

Not usually, we are very go with the flow. I'm finding if we let him go past 9, then he fights bedtime and nap time, so I try to get him going around 8 am- but he's 2. Until recently, he could do whatever he wanted.

I do only because I have to drop him off at daycare so I can go to work. If I didn't have to go to work, I let him sleep in till he wakes on his own.

I usually end up waking her up because she in so late and we need time to get dressed and eat before library, music, etc. If we have nothing to do she gets to sleep in.

Nope, I let her sleep until she wakes up, because I don't get up until she does! Her naps are never crazy long, but I'll wake her up if we *really* need to be somewhere at a certain time. She will need to be woken up when I go back to work though.

Unless we had to be somewhere super early, which is pretty much never, I let her sleep. She wakes up somewhere around 7.30am I guess and I go and get her around 7.45-8ish when I've woken up enough!

Nope. I don't really "get" super scheduled babies- how do they catch up on sleep if they're sick or need extra! He goes in phases, used to get up way too early before 6, then 7-8, then around 8/8:30 for a week, now back to 7. We go with his flow.

I'm relieved to hear this from all of you. I was starting to think I needed to change things because it seems like all of my friends have a predictable set nap time. I'm always like, he sleeps when he's tired.
pomelo / 5621 posts
He wakes up when he's ready, too early lately. I get up when he does. His naps for the day go loosely based off when he woke, but adjusted if he is tired sooner or later.
I'm sad that when I go back to work I will most likely have to wake him to get him to daycare.

We are "schedule people" but there's no way I'd sacrifice extra sleep! She usually gets up at 9:30am (she has a 5am wakeup but goes right back down) but if she sleeps later we just adjust the day's schedule - so her 2pm nap is at 2:30 instead, for example.

Nope! DS almost always wakes up on his own between 7:30 and 7:45 though so he's usually on the same schedule.
nectarine / 2994 posts
Nope, I just take her lead and let her wake up when she's ready. I just adjust the rest of day around her wake up time.

I let the kids wake up on their own.
They're pretty good about staying on schedule.

@Mrs. Polish: nope. We also have an inconsistent schedule. Basically- lo takes a nap roughly 2h after he wakes up and then goes to sleeps roughly 6h after he wakes from a nap. Yesterday he woke at 9:30. Napped at 11:30. Woke at 1:15 and was asleep by 7:45. He woke up today at 10! But then got a very short nap so will still most likely be in bed at 7:45 regardless.
With my kid- you don't even have to look at the clock. His attitude lets me know it is about that time...

I used to wake her at 7:15. She was very scheduled. However around 13?months I decided to let her choose and now she wakes between 7:30 and 8:30. Nap is around 1 and has been for quite some time. I love schedules so it works for us
