I think good looking means different things to different people. having said that, I think most people would be hapy if their kids were good looking to some extent but its often hard to really tell until their much older. They can be cute as kids an then go through an awkward stage and then get better looking as they get older. a lot of supermodels didnt look so hot when they were teenagers.

DH does. He has really great blond wavy hair. Like people stop him on the street to comment on how great his hair is.
He says when he was little he got so much attention for his hair that he hopes our kids get the same attention.

I agree that good looking kids get extra attention, and wouldn't want my kids to be ignored, but it's not the most important thing to me.

Huh. interesting question. Well, my husband and I are average. I would be perfectly happy with an average child/average adult.

I do. As sad as it is I think life is easier for good looking people. All the way from acceptance among their peers in school to job opportunities.

I hope my daughter will be pretty, as you said Mrs. Bee, for a girl this is kind of what you want. But no, I would not want her to be supermodel beautiful and focused on that. I want her to be studious and feel like that is the way to get ahead ... not because of her looks.

Yes! We both would like our children to be good looking. Maybe it's shallow, but it's true! Of course, other things are more important....

Of course I want beautiful children, but I want to teach them that beauty is only pretty on the outside if they are pretty on the inside. Nothing is worse than a beautiful person on the outside being shallow/negative/ect. on the inside. I think looks looks compeltley different after a personality shines through.

Without sounding conceited, husband and I are pretty darned good looking, so we hope our kids are good looking and beautiful as well! The world is nicer to you when you're attractive.

I'd like my children to be attractive, but some people that are extremely good looking wind up not developing much of a personality.

I'd strongly dislike if we wound up with children that were very attractive but with totally vacant personalities. I'd rather they be average looking and mentally bright and sharp.

=T i definitely don't want them to be ugly haha. i do think better looking people are given more opportunities than not so good-looking people. i don't want them to be incredibly good-looking though. i'd rather them be more good-looking inside than out.

I wouldn't want an unfortunate looking child, but I don't think I would want exceptional, either. average/above average or pretty/handsome I think would be great - just not gorgeous. I think that causes too many problems & the emphasis on the exterior is just too much.
