Haha yes, but i don't like it as much as the movie.
Sometimes it is the real person!!! Well maybe once. That guy who had gained like 150 lbs since high school so kept sending her old photos. But it was really him -
I dont' regularly watch it but when I was home on maternity leave they had a martahon one day and I caught quite a few episodes, it is so interesting!

@JoJoGirl: oh yeah forgot about him. I just wanted to give him a hug - poor guy. Also, wanted to hug that poor kid who thought he was talking to Miss America or whatever. He was so let down.
OMG the movie. Poor Nev! I died on the part where he was reading the "juicy stuff" from his phone. "YAY FREEDOM" hahaaha.

I really love that show! I thought the movie was decent, but the show is really interesting!

I can't be the only one who is amazed by how overly hairy Nev is. I mean, he's like a bear! Ah! I think Max's hair is hot though, that silvery haired guy? lol!

DH and I watch it! We keep hoping that one of these episodes will finally show someone who is who they say they are.

@MrsTiz: haha i know! my husband always comments on how he is SUPER hairy - bless his heart! they always do a waking up shot too so there is always a chest hair shot!!!and yes Max wears his premature grey VERY well!! I love them! I like how they are always genuinely super nice to people - or at least it seems genuine!

I feel compelled to add that a LOT of people think the movie was fake. Like, Nev and his buds knew the whole time what was really going on but they decided to string it along and film it for the movie. Too many 'moments' were spontaneously caught on film (the first time they talked on the phone, etc) which doesn't happen in real documentaries. Either way, I still love watching it

I think we've caught most of the episodes. I just find it so amazing that people are so freaking gullible and will spend years of their life being in love with someone they've never met, nor ever tried to prove exist. These stories happen all the time, and people still keep falling for it. It just blows me away. I mean, it takes Nev a whole 10 minutes to search for the images online and discover that the person in the picture isn't the person they're talking to.

I love this show! And the movie! There was one happy ending, the one where the guy was a girl transitioning to be a man and the girl was still happy and wanted to be with him.

DH thought for sure that guy was really talking to miss teen usa. I kept telling him no way was it her, but he said the facts say it was. And then it ended up being Rose. My LO's name is Rose..... so I don't appreciate seeing crazy people named Rose.

K, I had no idea what Catfish is (I don't watch that much MTV) but I did see a commercial for it and got intrigued, then I saw this thread. So I've been glued to this page ever since. Spoilers!!!

I never knew what it was about until right now because I am watching it! Kelly Ripa used it as a verb today on her show and thats what made me watch it while channel surfing. It is so funny how you could not know about something and then see it so many times in one day!

@JoeysMama: The movie has actually been on MTV a bunch lately. You know how they love to play the same things over and over. You can probably catch it on this weekend sometime if you look at the schedule.
