I don't. I really should, but the news is always so depressing.

Never. I used to get my news from my grandma when we went to visit her, but now all she talks about is how beautiful and wonderful my LO is

@artbee: that's sweet
DH always has NPR on the radio and he likes talking about current events. I sometimes watch the news but that's usually either because its on tv when we're going to sleep or its on when I'm visiting my grandparents.

I do, every day. I'm nosy, I like to know what's going on in the world.

When I was by the computer, I'd just read yahoo news if it looked interesting. But not lately...

Yes, because it's the only way I get news these days. I used to read a paper or online, but not anymore.

No, but that is because we decided to get rid of cable & only use Hulu Plus & Netflix. I do not mind not having regular tv except I miss college sports & the news! I usually read the news online & watch stories online as well. I miss the regular old news though!

I'm a newshound! I read the news every morning and throughout the day. I get CNN breaking news e-mailed to me. I also watch the nightly news almost every night.
But I work in PR and was a journalism major in college, so it's ingrained in me. It's also really depressing!

I watch Al Jazeera occasionally, which is the only English language news channel we can get here. But more often I just read the news online.

I watch the Rachel Maddow show, Melissa Harris-Perry and Chris Hayes. I like really smart, thoughtful commentary. I read a much more wide array of viewpoints, though.

We don't often watch the news on TV (except for some news shows like Rachel Maddow), but we both constantly read the news online throughout the day from a variety of sources. Even if its sometimes depressing, there are plenty of positive stories too, and I figure its part of my duty as a citizen to stay informed in what's going on.
