I'm going to a wedding this Saturday and it will be rainy and 41 degrees for a high, 26 for a low. I don't have any long dresses (shoot) so it looks like I'm going to have to wear a knee length dress. It's a navy stretch cotton-ish sheath with rosettes around the neckline.
My question... do I have to wear pantyhose? tights don't seem right with this dress. Also, can I wear nude patent flats? or should I be wearing heels? Can I wear black patent heels? Or is black + blue a no-no?

For a wedding, I'd do pantyhose (that blends in very very well/isn't shiny--the kind that look like you aren't wearing any). And i would totally wear flats.
Usually i do tights but if they don't go with the dress, i'd rather do pantyhose and be warm!!!

Well as someone who wears pantyhose daily I wouldn't wish that on anyone, so unless you feel the need for warmth skip them!
And you can totally wear black and blue together, actually I'm wearing a navy dress with black tights and boots now at work and have gotten a ton of compliments today already!

Black and blue is fine. I would buy navy tights that match the dress. Pick out tights that work with the dress-opaque, shiny, sheer whatever looks best.

You don't have to wear pantyhose, but you certainly can! And if flats are more comfy wear flats (due to my high arches, I am a diehard heels girl, but I love flats!). And yep, I agree with the pps that black tights/shoes will look great with your navy dress! Have fun!

Yes on the hose - always looks classier than bare legs before summer.
Nude patent flats will be great and make your legs look longer!

I would wear hose because it's a wedding. Love me some nude flats and heels; but I think black works fine with blue too!

I hate pantyhose, but I do wear them when I feel like it's cold out. I think they are the worst invention ever, but they do polish up an outfit.

I'm a fan of pantyhose in the colder months personally, and I think nude or black shoes would work with a navy dress!

I went to a black tie affair in January and the majority of people were not wearing hose with cocktail dresses. I definitely think black shoes are fine but I also love nude patent and I think flats are totally fine, especially at a wedding.

I love wearing colored tights but I guess it depends on how appropriate they would be for a wedding. I have a maroon pair that I think would be wedding appropriate. I dislike the look of tights with flats, but think it looks great with a pump!
