I had Charlie at 31 and Olive at 32. We started trying when I was 28, so I guess I assumed I would have kids at 29 and 31. But I think they came at the right time in our lives.
sometimes i do wish we were younger though so we'd have more energy like i did in my 20's! days like today..... i'm pooped, and am gonna go to bed very shortly.
I'll be 51 by the time Olive graduates high school, and probably in my 60's when she gets married!

Not right now but maybe when I am much older. DH and I traveled the world and lived abroad together before having the LO. I wouldn't trade that for anything.

I had lo at 28 and will hopefully have another by 30. I wanted to start in my early 20s.... but glad I waited to meet my husband.

Yeah, while they came at our perfect time, I wish we were younger. I'll be 51 when they graduate hs and hubs will be 55.... Seems so old! Are u sure ull be 51? I think ur younger than me....

I had my girls at 28 and 31... would possibly like a 3rd before 34 or 35 though, and I like to space them out a few years, so I think we started at the right time. I can't imagine having started earlier or later.

Yea, I do. We waited quite a while to get married due to outside reasons. I'm pretty confident if not we would have had 2 kids by now. I have always wanted my first before I turn 30 and I'm due 5 days before my 30th! Haha we'll see what happens.
No regrets though, life has a way of taking you on its own path.

Sort of but I'm all about hings happening at the right time. I know. We would not have been financially prepared if the baby had come around in our 20's!

i think i'm pretty young. I'll have baby girl right before my 29th bday. I think the hubs would of liked to have kids younger, but he is 5 years older.

@Mrs. Jacks: I'm with you on both counts! The only reason I might have wanted kids earlier is because we are up against the clock to have a second and a third is not an option.

No way. I'm glad I was able to spend my early 20's on building myself and my home. That's the easiest time you'll ever have to focus on you, I did that and now am ready in my 30's to focus on LO without "what ifs" or wishes I had done x, y or z first.

Yes, I feel like having LO is so much more meaningful than some of the other stuff I was doing a few years ago. Not that I feel old, but I do wish I had spent that energy on him.

I am turning 31 in a few months and have four kids (3, 2, 2, and 4 months) I adopted my first at 27 when we were told I might not get pregnant. At 28 my surprise twins came along and I was 30 with my little girl. I started trying at 25 when we got married so I kind of wished we hadn't gone through the several years of trouble but my husband and I are pretty happy. A little more energy would be nice but I think no matter how young I was my four little ones would still exhaust me.

As an older mom, in a word, no. Waiting was the best thing we did, but it was risky as we had no idea if we'd have issues getting pregnant.

We always talk about this! Our first was a surprise, and we always say if we hadn't had that surprise, we would probably have waited until we were in our 30s, but we love being young parents, so we're glad everything worked out how it did. I had my first a couple weeks after I turned 26 and will have my second when I'm 28. We're hoping for number three when I'm 31ish and then the baby factory is closed.

I'll be 27 when I have my first LO and hopefully 29 when I have my second. I think this is the perfect time in my life for kids. Still young enough to have energy but old enough to have done what I wanted before getting pregnant.
My DH wishes he was younger, he will be just about 34 when our LO arrives, and he doesn't want to be the "old" dad. I think somedays he has more energy than I do and told him not to worry!

Growing up, I didn't even think about marriage before 30, so the fact that I'm pregnant at 28 is kind of unexpected to my young self :P.
Our TTC plans and timelines in the last 1.5 year of marriage changed so drastically, but at the same time -- am so happy to have gotten pregnant when we did I'll be 29 with our first... and hopefully 30/31... 32/33 for future LOs (if we make it that far!)...
I'll be my mom's age when she had me and I think it's perfect for our family!

I'm generally happy with our timing - we are having baby #1 just before I turn 32 (and right around when DH turns 31). We TTC'd for 8 months, so I wish it had happened a little sooner, but we are much more emotionally and financially ready than we were even a year ago.
We planned on having 3 kids, all roughly 2 years apart....but turns out I'm now having a difficult pregnancy, so that may change things a bit.

I feel so lucky that our timing worked out exactly as I wanted it-- we were married at 24 (probably way too young!), had RJ at 28, I'll be 31 when this baby is born. If this is our last baby (probably will be), we'll be 50 when she goes to college-- pretty sweet! Just in time for mid-life crises... we're totally gonna go on a crazy trip.

At times, I am envious of my friends because they are done having kids. I am in my early/almost mid-30s and about to have my first. However, I know at the same time that I had a lot of life I needed to experience before I started a family. Plus, I was lacking a husband
