I'm a pessimist and I wish I could be more optimistic. It's tough when you suffer from anxiety to be an optimist though!
Luckily Mr. Bee is an optimist so hopefully Charlie and Olive inherit it from him!

It depends on the situation. Most of the time I am an optimist, but when it comes to TTC, I'm very pessimistic. My therapist is always saying, "You WILL get pregnant" and I'm always like, "Eh... but I might not!"
I am more optimistic when it comes to finances or other life stresses, though. My husband is usually more pessimistic about that stuff.
I'd love for Liam to be an optimist!

I'm an optimist by nature, but had a close friendship with an eternal pessimist. It wasn't a healthy friendship by any means, and her pessimism really rubbed off on me. It affected my happiness and after our friendship crumbled I was a much, much happier person.
That's not to say that all pessimists are unhappy, just my experience with a specific person!

My husband is a pessimist. I wish he were more optimistic, but he isn't. I guess I'm the optimist for the both of us! Hahaha

I definitely wish I were more optimistic. I tend to be the pessimist in our relationship. My DH is the optimist and helps to balance us

I'm generally optimistic, but I think my faith in God helps a lot w/ that. Otherwise I think I'd be a pretty doom & gloom person!

I am definitely a pessimist, and I wish I was more optimistic a lot- especially now that I'm pregnant. Being so anxious as often as I am can be frustrating when you just want to relax for the sake of the baby.
My husbands definitely optimistic enough for us both though, which I hope our kids get from him!

No, I generally think the worst. My husband is an optimist (maybe it's a guy thing?), so I try to follow his lead.

I was always pretty idealistic but I used to worry a lot. When I secured my faith in God, I became very optimistic.

I think of myself as a realist. Haha. But really. In don't think I'm overly pessimistic (always expecting the worst) or optimistic (always expecting the best). I feel like my husband is the same.
My mom is the most optimistic person in the world. I'm more like my dad.

I know a true pessimist and I am pretty much opposite. It isn't that I blindly hope for the best, it is more that I am realistic about possible outcomes.

I see the benefits to being an optimist, but I find it annoying/naive when taken too far. I do struggle with not being too much of a pessimist, but I'm reasonably self aware about it. Ideally I would always prepare for the worst and hope for the best. I don't know how to focus on optimism without setting myself up for extreme disappointment.
So, no, I don't really wish I was more of an optimist because I think I would feel like Charlie Brown with the football all of the time.

I'm an optimist but also a realist. So in general I'm not that optimistic, but I'm definitely not a pessimist. There are times when my realistic tendencies get my anxiety going, but I'd still rather be realistic than blindly optimistic! Wagon Sr. is optimistic enough for both of us, so he's got us covered, and I can play realistic devil's advocate

I consider myself a realist but I try to have a positive outlook and when outcomes are equally likely, assume the best. It's something I sort of actively work on because I think it is easy to slip into pessimism!

I'm a total pessimistic for myself, but am optimistic for others (if that makes sense) so I definitely wish I was more optimistic for myself. DH is an optimist though so that helps balance things out. Hope DS isn't crazy pessimist like his momma!

I'm optimistic by nature, but I actually feel like I was more joyful before I was a parent. Now I feel more stretched thin and am generally a little snappier. I'm working on that!
