Do you workout? How many hours a week, on average, do you exercise (more than just day to day walking/cleaning/yard work/chasing kids, etc.)? What kind of workouts?

I don't. I would love to start running again, but I'm having trouble finding the courage to start (I'm afraid of how out of shape I will feel), and finding the time.

I run about an hour every day and then on the weekends I take spinning and a weight lifting class. My weekend workouts are more about 1.5 hours compared to working out 1 hour during the week. If I wasn't a WOHM, I'd be a total gym rat.

@littlek : I am so the same way. I would probably spend WAY to much time at the gym if I didn't work. Do love spin or do you love it? I take a class twice a week. I'm in love.

Before I got pregnant, it was 3-5 days a week. I've taken the last month off because I've been so sick, but I'm starting to ease back into it with 30 min workouts 3x/week.

Since I got pregnant with this one I take walks with my toddler almost every morning for about 40 minutes. I also do some prenatal yoga here and there but not consistently.
Before I got pregnant I was taking spin and HIIT classes 4-5 days a week.

I've fallen off the wagon a bit since last semester--I'm a grad student so I rely a lot on gym access! During the spring semester I took 60 minute zumba classes 3x/week and that was amazing for my health and mental well-being, but then I was traveling this summer and was much more sporadic. I'm pregnant now and will be home/have gym access for the next 6 weeks or so and am trying to get back to the gym for elliptical and strength training workouts, but I am so fatigued that taking our dogs on long walks is about all I've been able to muster I might start seeing a personal trainer though for extra motivation

Before getting pregnant with #2, I worked out 5-6 days/week. Running 4-6+ miles 2-3 days/week and Crossfit 3 days/week. Now, I'm starting to slack at 11 weeks, but still getting 4-5 days/week in. I'm sure it will steadily decline as I get further along since I've had a pretty easy first tri.

I'm in the middle of a 6 week postnatal yoga series with the same instructor who led my prenatal classes.
That's once a week.

I'm 31.5 weeks pregnant and my "work outs" consist of trying to get out and waddle around the block a few times a week...that's about it. I really didn't do much before I got pregnant either though... Meh.

@spinningry: I love it!! I wish I could take it more than once a week, but DH works crazy hours so my workouts during the week have to include LO.

Before getting pregnant, I worked out about 3-4 times a week, usually spinning or body pump (weights) classes. I always thought I'd continue once I was knocked up but there's no way in hades I could manage the gym as miserable & uncomfortable as I've been.

@LMOG47 : I love body pump. I'm actually doing the at home version, Les Mills Pump, right now! That sucks that you haven't felt up to going to the gym...I always found I felt better when I would make myself do something active when I wasn't feeling the best while pregnant.

I was doing so good and stopped, sleeping in seemed so much better, however I started back up this week. Elliptical in teh morning for 43 minutes (random amount but it's the time of a netflix show!)

I've been off and on for months but I'm committed now! I just started (again) T25 and love it. It's 5 days a week and about 30 minutes so I know if I start as soon as LO goes down for a nap I have a pretty good chance of finishing and being able to shower. I would love to add more in but I'm just starting with this so I can adjust to the schedule and if I find other time I'll add in more
I wish I would have worked out more before I had a LO with all the time in the world lol

I'm too lazy.
I have been considering doing a c25k for the color run we're having here in Nov...........

@amohror : I've done T25 twice at a fit club I go to and LOVE it! I don't think you need much more than 25 minutes of Shaun T. a day! I am going to order my copy this week, I'm just finishing up on Les Mills Pump/Combat hybrid.

@spinningry: I didn't know there was an at home version! Perhaps if the urge strikes I'll have to check it out. Another class I loved was a boot camp version of kettle bells. I'm completely impressed of people who can work out while pregnant cause I honestly barely make it through the day most days. Once these twins are out, I'm hoping I can get my butt back in gear.

@spinningry: It's really a good workout! I did Insanity before and finished all but the last week, it was horrible, an hour workout is WAY too long! So going from that to T25 is amazing haha!
grape / 85 posts
@LMOG47 : You should totally check it out once you feel up to it. I really enjoy it. The program is only three times a week and then you mix in your own cardio. I've been doing a Pump/Combat hybrid. Have you taken a body combat class? There is an at home version of that too that I really enjoy.

@amohror: The thought of Insanity scares the crap right out of me to be quite honest...so good for you for doing it!

ER. I'm convinced taking care of a toddler counts!

I voted 'I don't'. Before LO, I worked out every day. It's so hard to get motivated to get back into it!

@spinningry: I googled body combat & it looks similar to a class I did a long time ago & really really liked...it kicked my butt! I'll have to see if my gym offers it...I don't have enough discipline to work out regularly on my own...I have to be locked in a room w/others

Jealous of all your active folks. I had a good stint at the gym a couple months ago, but for most of C's 15.5 months, I have not been a regular gym -goer. Wish I could have a kid who doesn't freak out over gym day care
