We have a Subaru Outback that I primarily drive but DH and I both love.
DH primarily drives an Altima that he hates! I kind of like driving it though!

I love my Volvo XC90. DH has a Tacoma truck (4 door) but I hate how small the doors are to get in and out especially with a baby.

We just got a Ford Escape that I'm pretty happy with. It wasn't my first choice BUT we ended up with an amazing financial deal so couldn't pass it up!.. and if we get pregnant anytime in the near future we'll have to upgrade. For now though it works & being the primary driver I'm happy!

Nope. DH and I only have one vehicle--his truck. It's a Toyota Tacoma. I had a (get ready for it...) '94 Geo Prizm from college that I loooved (hey, we went way back!), but then it got totaled in an accident so we decided to just make do with his car (no biggie at all since he travels for work like, 90%). Anyway, I can't stand it. It's an awkward height, super touchy, and I'm just not comfortable (even after almost 2 years!) parking it!

I like my 07 honda accord, but I don't love it anymore! I want an infinity m37 sport!
DH has a 09 accord and he loves it. I hate his car!!

We just got a 2012 Mazda 5 and I love driving it! It's really zippy and I love how smooth it is.
I had a 1998 Honda Civic that was pretty beaten up, so pretty much any car would have been better than that! Lol.

We just got a Mazda CX-9 and I absolutely love it!! We got a great lease deal and we splurged a bit with this car, but it's exactly what we both wanted, and since we have only one car we wanted it to be just right.
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6581 posts
Yep! Just got an '09 VW Jetta and I it big time. DH drives a Ford Ranger that is ookkkk to drive, but I hate parking it and it only has seating for 2 :[

I have an Altima and love it! I hate the car payment though, and wouldn't mind something a little bigger.
pomelo / 5469 posts
We have a Vauxhall Astra and whilst it's too big for me (I'm short, the seat won't go any higher and I can't see when reversing!), it's lovely to drive and *touch wood* nothing has gone wrong with it in almost 4 years!

I'm okay with my Toyota corolla, but I wouldn't miss a beat at the chance of owning a Fiat (: The husband said probably next year (:

Which one? Lol. We have 5 cars (all but one are old beaters), but I only ever really drive 3 of them. The '82 Chevy Scottsdale is super fun to drive, with its clunky old manual shift transmission. The '00 GMC 3500 pickup drives like a big ol' pickup and I love that one too. And my '05 Jeep Grand Cherokee is ok. I don't like how sensitive the steering is, but I do like feeling like I can get through anything because, duh, it's a JEEP!

Nah. I have to drive DH's Tundra around. It's the max crew cab and I just cannot handle it. It's so big, I can never park anywhere! At least it's shiny and still smells new so I like that! But I've been lusting over "mom" cars for awhile.

@ms.janedoe: I had a 2002 Kia Rio Cinco that I drove for 10 years and LOVED. I just about cried when we 'traded' it in for the Subaru! I even took a video of our last drive together.
@mrs. wagon: the Subaru was a splurge for us since we don't have a car payment for the Altima. I am so in love with it!

@littlebittyhouse: I LOVED my Kia Rio. It was perfect for me, and I was very sad when she died!
Now I drive an 07 Chevy Trailblazer and its great. But a recall on the fuel tank sensor has kind of ruined my love for it. Especially since Chevy will only pay 1/2 of the $800 repair?!?
DH has a Silverado 1500 and I like driving it, but hate parking it! I always park it way in the back of the lot where there are no cars to mangle.

I like my Ford Escape, but I hate how it blows through gas. Overall it is an improvement over my old car, VW Jetta, which I loved, especially the gas mileage, but was so expensive to fix if something went wrong.
DH drives a Mazda 3 and he loves it! Although it is not an ideal family car.

Lexus RX350, I'm overall happy with the car, but would really like a bigger trunk. LO comes with a lot of baggage.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
Yup! Love both of my cars even though they're total gas guzzlers.

I just got a CRV and I love it. I would not change a thing. It has leather and all the bells and whistles so it feels like luxury to me. And it costs only $40 to fill up! In love!!!!!
I didn't know it until I bought it but it is totally my dream car.
I drove an xterra before and hated it.

I love my GMC Acadia, DH has a Dodge truck and I don't like driving it!

I have a 2012 Civic that I love but I will be driving an older CRV once I start my maternity leave.

I have a Honda Fit, and it's great. It's compact, but has enough room for what we need, plus the gas mileage is great. Annnd we just paid it off, which is a bonus!
honeydew / 7235 posts
@Rainbow Sprinkles: YES!!! loooove it, haha -- we had a 2007 CR-V, which was the new body style, put 100,000 miles on it pretty quickly, then traded in for the new 2012 with leather & fancy seat heaters and I agree - so luxurious!

i have a pacifica which is currently at the mechanic (thanks for putting the wrong oil filter on it, valvoline! 2 new tie rods, an alignment and a mapping sensor later... they're almost done with it). it has all the things i wanted- a 3rd row an adult could sit comfortably in, AWD, DVD, NAV, great safety ratings, comfy for the driver (i was spoiled by my volvos, they had crazy comfy seats that few cars can live up to!), but i don't LOVE it. i hate the color- it's gold, i thought i would get over it as long as it wasn't powder blue, nope, still hate the gold. it uses crazy gas- 14mpg is what i average. you can't see out the back worth a damn! i bought an after market rear view camera, but i haven't had it installed yet because it could mess up the warranty which is almost up, so i'll just wait til then. so i like it, but i don't love it.

@LuLu Mom: My next car will be an Acadia! Whats the gas mileage like?
persimmon / 1331 posts
@ms.janedoe: I had a 90 Geo Prism I drove through high school and college! Such a good car!! It finally was falling apart with 350,000+ miles on it so we sold it to an auto mechanic for $250. Great car... Good memories! Because it was made by Toyota back in that day, I have stuck with Toyotas. I have a RAV4 that I love! It is my first new car so I might be biased!

I just bought a 2013 Kia Sorento and I absolutely love it. I love the way they look but was hesitant to buy because of the whole Kia stigma. I am so happy I did though. It is a perfect mom car.

I have a Mazda 3...and while I love it for myself, it's hard with LO. It's a tiny car and if it's just me and him, we're fine. But if I have another passenger, they're eating the dashboard!
DH has a Toyota Highlander, and I love his car even though it's older.
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@mrsaudi: It's decent for an SUV, I would have to track again to let you know how much (I'm awful at this.) I usually only drive it in town so that of course makes it a little less, but when we go out on interstate it's really good for a bigger vehicle!
cantaloupe / 6800 posts
I have an Xterra, it's okay..I wouldn't buy it again though.
I would like it better if it were newer or in better shape!

I love my civic, especially the digital spedometer! We just bought a Nissan Pathfinder and I had to convince DH to let us keep my civic rather than his altima. There are no KMs on it at all so it was the right choice - it's just a bit smaller and missing some features that his altima had. I'm excited for our Pathfinder to get in !

I have a Matrix. It's ok! Not too fancy. DH has a new Silverado which I like.. I don't drive it often though.

I have a '12 Prius V (it's like a station wagon kind of) that we bought about a year ago. I love it with an irrational love, esp when I'm adding up how much I paid for gas in a given month!
