I was noticing this weekend that a growing percentage of our friends are on kid #3 now!
I'd say that most of our friends have two kids for now.... and the rest are one and done.

Of the friends that have kids most have 2 (our #2 is due in December), and one or two have 3. A couple of MY friends (from HS) only have one, and we have several friends who don't have any at all.
ETA: Most of our mutual friends are D's age...5-6 years older than me, for whatever difference that makes.

Most of my friends have less, as I was the first to have kids. Most of Dh's friends have the same or more as we were one of the last to have kids.

Of my friends who have kids, one has three, one has two with one on the way, a few have two, and one has one (like me).

Most of my friends have 1 at the moment and are between one and done or maybe one more. Lots who don't have kids or are TTC.

Most of my friends recently had their first or are pregnant with their first. I'm having my second in a week, but we also got married 2-3 years before almost everyone else.

It's a close call, I think most of my friends have 1 or 2, but the majority (by not much) probably have 1, and many have plans for a 2nd. We have 2.

My three closest friends have less kids (two have one kid and the other doesn't have any), but most of my other friends have 2 kids like us.

Most of our married friends have 2 or 3. We have 1. But we still have a lot of unmarried friends, with none. We're the only ones with an only child at this point.

I'm 29, and I'm the first pregnant one in my friend group! Most of my coworkers have one.

Most of our friends have 0, 1 or 2. I can't think of any off the top of my head that have more than 2, and most have 1.
Most of my FB friends who got married right after HS and started having kids early too have 2+, with many having 3 or more.

I put Other because many of my friends do have the same number of kids as me (either one or two), but those folks all live in other cities. All of my closest friends in my home city have no kids.

Most of our friends have two close together, one couple has twins! Our family seems to have larger age gaps, which is what we'll have if we have another. I have a couple of close friends who are not married and I do find it harder to relate to them just because my mind is really on family since my son was born.

More! We only have 1 so far, planning on moe though. Most of our family have 3+ most with 4! We would love to have 4

Most friends have less (one child), since we had two in one shot. Same number of pregnancies, though.

If I look at families that are done with childbearing, they have more kids than I do.

After this one is born we'll have the most (3) excepting the Mormon classmate that has had six in eight years.

I am the only one of my close friends to have a child. But on the plus side, they all adore my LO and will come watch him at a moments notice if help with anything.

It really depends! I feel like I really do know people in all categories! I guess the people I'm closet to, all don't have kids, 1 is about to, and then a few others all have 1 kid, all around the same age as DD. Then I also do have friends that have 2-3 already.

Most still don't have kids. 1 of my closest friends has one child, another just gave birth to her 2nd, and the rest have none. I'm talking about friends we've known for a long time, at least since college! We've made some parent friends since then that we've grown close to but I'm not counting them since these friendships developed post-kids.

We are kinda in the middle. I have a few that have more and some that have the same. A bunch are pregnant with me so we will grow in number together.

Of friends I had before C, most have the same as we will come December- most have two, but several have one and still plan on a second.
Of the mom friends I met after having C, it's crazy how many people have exactly the same as us- one with another on the way. Of my playgroup 6 out of 11 are pregnant, at least two more are actively trying.
So we will be in good company with our two I think.

Most of our closest friends don't have kids yet, and most of those are totally single/not even dating anyone (like, 2 of my and 3 of dh's closest friends are single right now). There are a handful of friends who have 1 kid though like we do. One couple is pregnant with their 2nd now.

All over the map! We have 2, some friends have 3, some 2, some 1, many none yet.

We were the last of our friends to have kids so most are ahead of us. I'm baking #2 but the majority of our friends have 2 or 3. We won't have anymore though.

Of our friends with kids, most have one. Ivan only think of one off hand with two. But most of our friends have none. Most of our friends are through DH's company, and the demographic among employees is mostly young, nerdy, single guys. It's shifting as the company gets older, but because it requires employees to move a lot, it will probably always be more attractive to people without too many kids. And my two best friends (who are also close to DH) are both child free by choice.

I'm older & while many of my friends have 2 kids that are quite a bit older than our baby & one couple with 3, I also have a few friends ttc (also older couples) & quite a few childless by choice friends--so all across the board!

Only a fraction of my pre-baby friends have kids and that isn't likely to change in the next 5 years. Of my mom friend, most are working on #2 or it has recently arrived and we're due in 6 weeks.

It's a mixture! A lot of my childhood friends have 3 or more, and 4 seems to be the norm within our group of friends from church. Most of my mom friends have 2, some with 3, and then a whole group of friends I went to high school or college with have zero.
pear / 1614 posts
Most of our friends had their first around the same time as we did, and almost everyone has two and is now done. We are on #3 and not 100% sure we are done so we are definitely not the norm among our friends.
persimmon / 1071 posts
Most of our friends have more kids than us. We're the only ones our of our group to not have kids. DH doesn't have any friends who don't have kids and I only have 2.
DH and I are currently TTC, so hopefully that'll change soon!

I would say most of my friends have the same amount of kids as me. We met when our oldest kids were babies, and now most of us are pregnant or just had our second. A few people want to have three and the rest of us are two and done, so I guess at some point there will be friends who have more kids than me.
blogger / pomegranate / 3300 posts
Most have less. I do have one other friend who has four.
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
Most of my friends are on kid #1 while we have kid #2. They are all starting to talk TTC so they will be catching up soon.
pomelo / 5469 posts
Other-it varies! One of my closest friends has 3 and thinking about a 4th, a few have 1 and the rest have 2.
pomegranate / 3565 posts
Totally varies. I have friends with none all the way to 4. But I would say most have 2-3.
