Wahhhhh
Just washed up and noticed that my hands were bleeding.
Sad times.

no, but DH's does. He's now very vigilant about putting working hands on every night.

Mine don't but my mom's do. We are always trying to find her better lotion.

They have before. I'm better about using lotion now.

@locavore_mama: Oooh what is that? Does it work? DH has dry/cracking on his hands and has even tried different Rx creams
clementine / 995 posts
Yes, mine do. Mine look horrible right now because I used up all of my Eucerin hand cream, and keep forgetting to buy more.

Tops of my hands and knuckles, yes... I have too many zippered pockets and purses that I'm scratching my hands on, plus so much hand washing and cold weather!

My hands get so dry and gross every winter, ewww. Luckily they aren't bleeding yet, but I also don't live in a place with a deep winter.

This is me now. I just put like 10 layers of hand cream on!

Yes, it is just too cold and dry and I wash my hands a million times a day.

Mine do, it's horrible! Last month I got a pedicure and they gave me a paraffin wax treatment for my hands which really helped, but now they are back to being cracked and bloody

I use J's aquaphor on my knuckles while I'm typing and it helps a ton!

Yes, it's so bad that my knuckles are swollen and ache. In my sleep I furiously rub them between sheets
I use Vaseline all day long.

After we went to the cold Midwest for the holidays, my hands were a wreck! I put super glue on the cracks and it makes such a difference! Problem solved for now...
pomegranate / 3503 posts
Yes, it was really bad last year but this year has been manageable.

All winter long and nothing seems to work! Bought a big cat of Aquaphor today so hoping that helps! And it was a lot worse when I was pregnant.

Mine don't but DH's do. He won't put any lotion or anything on them and they get so dry and cracked and painful.

@78h2o: my heels, too! I got a new foot file thing for Christmas (I requested it), it's amazing & if I keep removing dry/calloused skin, they don't seem to crack.
Yes! But I've gotten better about putting cream on them regularly before it's bad & it seems to have helped. Love l'occitane hand cream, but it's crazy $$ at the rate I go through it, so I use the body shop hemp hand protector which is also nice.

Yes
My hands overall aren't bad. It's just my ring finger that is dry and cracked. I slather lotion on it when I remember, but it's so hard to keep up with.
nectarine / 2936 posts
Mine do every winter and they are so bad right now I haven't been wearing my wedding rings because they get extra irritated underneath. A lot of hand creams that seem gentle burn my skin too. I'm a teacher so I can't really cut back on handwashing.

We have tried many different lotions over the year plus putting a sock over his hands overnight etc. This is the only one that's worked for him!

Mine get super dry and cracked, but I try to moisturizer just before they start bleeding. That just sounds and feels uber painful..
clementine / 948 posts
Yes. This year's dry hands w a newborn rivals when I was a floor nurse. I second @Ash with her recommendation

Yes, skin around my nails crack! All I do is put on lotion all day long. And chapstick!

@mrs. bird: glytone heel cream is awesome for getting rid of callouses, but it is $$$ for a tiny container! http://www.amazon.com/Glytone-Ultra-Elbow-1-7-Ounce-Package/dp/B002D48QSE
Right now I am using True Blue Spa heel cream (also glycolic acid)... it's still expensive, but cheaper than glytone (and comes in a big container). It works pretty well. http://www.amazon.com/Bath-Works-Glycolic-Cracked-Treatment/dp/B007SFA9J2/ref=sr_1_1?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1389375988&sr=1-1&keywords=true+blue+spa+glycolic
