They compete over the most ridiculous things. Who can wash their hands first. Who can be the first to sit down at the dinner table. It all sounds great, until our youngest is invariably not first and then starts crying because she "lost".
Do your kids compete over who can do things "first"?

@mrbee: it depends on what it is. Sometimes I make them take turns. We have a cycle of number car seats they have to go through because they would run to the car and push each other down to get to the front seat. Or I give Lilly a head start. We also talk a lot about sportsmanship and losing gracefully. We actually practiced racing in our backyard to talk about competitions and good manners. Then it translates to the other times, Like racing to the dinner table, or the first to brush their teeth.
