Yes! Lorelei thinks that you pay people to give you money, because I usually suck at having cash on me and will quite often write a check for over the amount at our local grocery to get some cash. She loves change and money in general. She likes to make piles and then I have to tell her what each kind is. Then she likes me to tell her the wrong name for something so she can correct me.

Ellie is old enough that she understands money a little better. She's already started digging through special occasion cards to see if there is money in them. We are working on tact, and being polite, but, honestly, even at 32 I don't frown if I see money in an envelope addressed to me. She can use points to get a small allowance. It always seems to burn a hole in her pocket.

And both kids sing "Money, money, money, we love money" because of the Judy Blume book when Fudge is obsessed with money.

My son is obsessed with money at 4 years old. He always wants to keep any change I get (sticks his little hand right into any machine that dispenses change and I have to pry it out of his hand). When he does gather a few coins, he saves it up to buy kinder eggs. Of course he has no idea how much each coin is worth.

No, but she LOVES (a little too much!) swiping my credit card when we buy things.

LO is in charge of swiping my card when we go to the store. She loves it. She understands, somewhat, that we need money to buy stuff...but no real concept of worth.

My daughter has started asking for '5 money' to buy a kite, not sure where that came from? She lists various things and tells us how many moneys they cost, and it is cute as hell.
