Yes! He freaks the eff out if *any* water touches his face. Like even a drop. He will cry, try to climb out of the tub, and make a huge spectacle. We have to use a washcloth to rinse the front to make it a bit less painful.

Meanwhile, he will splash, turn the shower on, and stick his face into the water without a second thought. Kids are weird.

she has gone thru periods of hating it and periods of just tolerating it. right now, she knows that she has to tilt her head way back so it doesn't get into her eyes, but still whines a bit while its happening. sometimes she dumps a little water on her face on purpose though, and she says "i did it!"

Nope, never. We've done swim lessons weekly since they were each 2 months old. Part of swim is for them to learn to hold their breath when we say, "1, 2, 3, Under!" So in the tub we just say that and they are fine with it.

I always say Look up! That way the water doesn't drain on her face. Sometimes I had to trick her and say I see the Itsy Bitsy Spider up there...do u see it, look up there.
