We repeat a lot of outfits and the baby is wearing all of LO's hand-me-downs!

Yep, I try to mix it up and do mix and matches, but she for sure wears the same thing twice. The only time I get "werid" about this is holidays/pictures. I don't want her wearing the same Chrsitmas outfit in different pictures

Oh absolutely!!! She wears things many times, usually. Unless she grows out of it too fast.

Yep. My kids get tons of wear out of every item of clothing.

Generally yes, but things like Xmas or photo shoot outfits ... maybe just once.

Yes!!! I have lots of favorites that she wears all the time. I make sure we use all of the clothes I buy and try and make sure she wears all of the clothes we get handed down (unless they're totally not my bag, then I donate them and hope someone else gets to use them over and over!)

Depends. Things like PJs, yeah, she gets good use out of. The rest of her wardrobe only gets only a few times, if that. She has so many clothes!

Absolutely. I have my favourites, plus...we go through so many outfits in a day, she would have to have an unlimited wardrobe to avoid repeating.

Absolutely! I'm way too cheap to buy her a different outfit for every day.
papaya / 10570 posts
Oh wow, you meant, like, ever?!! I thought you meant does she wear the same item two days running without it being washed!!!! Yes, of course she wears outfits more than once - she's not Madonna!!

Yes, he's small for his age, so each size group of clothes last us a long time.

There are a few that were gifts and not my style, so she's only worn them once for a few photos (for the gift giver). I mix and match her other clothes and totally repeat favorites.

I have to admit I scoffed at the title lol Idk anyone that can just wear something one time and never wear it again.
My oldest daughters clothes have been worn by both of her sisters now.
I'm also very cranky today thanks to moving over the weekend and a 7 month old with her first cold so no one is getting any sleep. So don't mind me.

Totally! I get frustrated if he grows out of an outfit before he's had a chance to wear it a bunch of times. Now that he's almost 8 months, the rapid growth has slowed down a bit but it drove me crazy in the early months!

Absolutely! Unfortunately, if we have a really crappy summer, she doesn't get a chance to wear a whole lot of her summer clothes.

We're wearing holes in all the outfits because they are getting so much use!

@Crisark: I think the OP was referring wearing a whole outfit again... versus wearing individual pieces of clothing more than once? Could be misreading it though!
If I notice that a shirt, tights and sock all look good together... I'll often pick out that exact same outfit again in a week or two. I try to vary the outfits within a week, but it's not that important to me if the rotation doesn't last a full week!

Ummm.... I hate to admit this, but sometimes some outfits only get worn once. He grows SO fast, and my mom buys and sends sooooooo many clothes its ridiculous. The ones that only get worn once are usually impractical or annoying - like baby button downs. Ironing for a 5 month old? Aint nobody got time for that.
DH and I have several things that we put him in over and over though.

All the time. I have his pants and onesies on our daybed in his nursery. I switch between them during the week. I'm happy if he matches enough during the week. The once worn outfits tend to be for special events only.

@mrbee: Oh I knew that but when I read it at first I was thinking that I really hoped it wasn't going to be a thread about wearing something only once because how could you ever repeat an outfit kind of thing lol

Oh yes! Definitely! PJs and leggings get the most wear, but I try to make sure everything is worn at least 3-4 times or I feel bad. Dresses are the hardest to get more wear out of, but I've even been trying to figure out ways to extend summer clothes that still fit.

Yes, although some things he's grown out of after only a wear or two.

In the three months since he had been born he doesn't really wear outfits because it had been so hot and muggy and we don't have ac. So there have been quite a few that have only been worn once since he grew out of it. There have been plenty that he never got to wear. Thank goodness I'm finally able to put clothes on him during the day.

Everything except the really ugly stuff that I send to live in the daycare bin. That stuff only gets worn once or twice - if at all.

She grows really fast at this point that sometimes things that aren't a favourite don't make it back in the rotation before she grows out of them while the stuff I think is the cutest she wears constantly, especially if I think it's going to be a highly photographed day.
She does have three Christmas dresses though, and those will probably only be worn once each. One for photo with Santa, one for Christmas Eve with my family, and one for Christmas Day with my husband's.
Also, she was born in the summer, and was given a TON of 0-3 size clothing, but spent most of her time in just a diaper. So, some of the clothing I literally put on just to take a picture to email to the person who gave it to her.

Yes we have some favorites that do get worn more than others. We were gifted so many 0-3 months outfits and some 3-6 months outfits that never got worn or worn only once. I passed it down to her cousin though so it was put to good use.

@JessKas: Ha ha, I do that, too. MIL has given us some God-awful things that are SO not my/Hubs's style, so he wears them for about 5 minutes to get pictures, and then they go into a bag for consignment!
