omg it drives me batty. THIS is fingernails on a chalkboard for me. I cannot physically handle it! Aghhh. Of course when LO saw how much it bothered me, he kept doing it.
Once I started walking away and ignoring it, he stopped.

Our does when sleeping... got it from me I think. I don't think there is a way to stop it since as an adult I still do it.

The dentist said that grinding at night won't hurt their teeth as a toddler, because their jaws aren't strong enough yet!

DS started grinding his teeth when he first got both the top and bottom two. It drove me crazy!!! I think it must have been around 6 mo. Thankfully, it was a short lived phase.

Only when he's teething! I try to ignore it because he tends to repeat things (on purpose) when he gets a reaction out of me.
