My mom and FIL have mentioned a few names that they like. My dad doesn't really care about names and I'm sure my MIL will have plenty of input after we find out the sex!
My mom likes Grace or Emily. Nice names but they won't work for us.
My FIL likes Hayley. It has been on his "list" for 40 something years!

My mom likes to offer suggestions already! My father won't feel like he should say anything and will just trust us to pick a good name. My in laws won't suggest anything. We have more of a distant relationship...

From the day my mom found out I was pregnant almost she was sending me suggestions. Most days I would get a text with her name (or two) of the day. But she wasn't pushy about any of them.
My dad, weirdly, had no comments whatsoever about names until we told my family at Christmas that we'd narrowed it down to 5 names (and we told them those names). Then my dad randomly started sending me email with other names. Like-- weird names. Then I told my mom to tell him to cut it out because it was annoying me so he did, but then staked a claim on his favorite of the 5 and campaigned hard lol.
We ended up going with a name that was not my parents favorite, but I think that they've now come around.

We didn't talk about our names beforehand so no suggestions then but after I told her each kid's name after birth she made a negative comment each time! Thankfully then it's a done deal.

My mom has suggested using either the male or female version of her middle name. My bro has the male version as his middle already. She also suggests Malik and Jelani, which is hilarious to me because there's now way in heck she would have named my bro those names. No other name suggestions for a girl though.

Last time my mom got really pushy about the name "September," which we did NOT like. I think when I finally got frustrated with her she realized that being pushy was a bad idea. No one else has suggested any, thankfully.

Parents didn't give suggestions but siblings and niece gave plenty! My bro and niece actually picked the name we did which was so crazy since LO does not have a common name.

Yes, usually when we are all sitting around we start brainstorming names ... They sometimes have out there suggestions, but often times pretty good ones !

No parents have offered any suggestions yet and I don't get the sense that they will. They seem to think it's totally our call which is nice!
I'm a bit nervous they won't be thrilled with our choices tho, especially my grandma. How do you guys deal with that? I mentioned Arlo the other day and my grandma was like "Oh no."

Nobody offered any names, but about halfway through our pregnancy, my mom called me and told me she had a dream we named our son Owen. We couldn't agree on a name at that point, but loved it as soon as she mentioned it!
Before that, I would go to the movies with my sister and we would sit through the credits and go through all the names, haha.

Nope.. Plus we already had s girl name and was just waiting to confirm gender! I think both sides know that her name is purely our decision, esp if we didn't ask!

My mom told me a few names she likes, but very abstractly (like she was telling me about boy names she likes when we knew we were having a girl). My mom told me repeatedly that we should name the baby whatever we want. Apparently she got a lot of bad (and unasked for) feedback on the names she picked for us and didn't want to be that person.

My parents didn't... they are typically super careful about not influencing us/sharing opinions on topics that could be touchy.
We didn't discuss names with other family members (MIL, etc) until we'd made our choice. Probably for the best for us.

My MIL but only out of jealousy. She got mad that my SIL used MIL's ex's name as her sons middle name. Aka she gave her son her dads name as his middle name!! Totally normal but MIL is crazy and insecure. She pushed her name and her maiden name on us but we used FIL's moms name and my moms name haha. Sadly I actually like the names she suggests, just not the negativity of them being associated with her.

My parents are very careful not to input their own ideas. For English names (first name), they just wanted to see the list we have so far and enjoy saying the names outloud (so cute). For Korean names (middle name), we're practically begging them for ideas! Even then, they're being really noncommittal so that we still get to choose what we like best. Love them!

I think my dad was worried we would go with some crazy Youneek name and made a few suggestions, but I don't remember what they were. He kept saying "remember, if he's the president you want a name that sounds normal". My dad clearly has high expectations.

I asked my parents and in laws for suggestions on both LOs names. They dont want to know the name in advance and they understood we wouldn't be responding to the suggestions (positively or negatively).
My parents took until the week I delivered to give me suggestions for LO1. Um... too late. We're still gathering names for LO2 and seriously stumped so I hope they come up with something soon.

My mom wanted us to name baby girl Natalie, after her mom who died 11 years ago. We considered it and my husband liked it, but we decided to use it as a middle name because 1) I had a very close friend in middle and high school named Natalie who ended up not being very nice to me and 2) Liam's middle name is after his paternal great grandfather, so having Grace's middle name after her maternal great grandmother is fitting.

Nope, neither set of parents have ever suggested names to us. My sisters and nieces however send over LISTS of names, my oldest niece (8 years old) had 25 and she had only hit the Bs she said she would get back to me with the rest 
Edit: our name is actually on my younger sister's list however I'll have to make it clear to her that she "did not name our baby" because she will take full credit, when it's actually a name we had picked out for DD1 that we didn't use (proof is in the baby book ha.)

My mom keeps calling our son coming in July, Yoshi. I can't remember if we mentioned this name to her before or what, but it stuck with her and that's what she's calling him! lol
I told her recently (after she was already calling him Yoshi) we might name him Josiah, and then maybe use Yoshi as a nn. "Jo/Joe" names family names with us and she got all emotional. (Well, from what I could tell online.) But I hope she doesn't get her hopes up b/c we are still so undecided.
ETA, Oh, and my in-laws keep saying we have to give him an "international" name, but I'm just like, whatever to that. If my FIL had his pick, I'm sure he'd pick some frilly Italian name. (And I'm part Italian American, and I don't even like Italian names.)
