My mom has a smartphone (don't remember what kind but not an iPhone). My dad used to have a Blackberry but I don't think they have cell phones anymore. My ILs both have iPhones, and love them.

Yeep. My mom thinks all smartphones are the same, and called me with 50 questions about her iPhone that I couldn't help her with, as I have a galaxy 2. I was able to help my dad with his phone the other day...he was complaining about battery life, and I told him to take the dynamic background off! You don't need a moving starfield in the back, dude.

My mom turns her phone off after making a call - not on silent or vibrate; off. My dad has an old flip phone, and refuses to responds to texts.
