I have been using clippers to cut DS's hair for about 6 months - the clippers are maybe a year or so old
When I cut it yesterday it just didn't look all that great - and its hard to mess up when you are just using clippers! Anyway this morning it looked awful - now I am thinking maybe the shears aren't sharp so that's why it cut unevenly?
If you use clippers do I need to replace the blade?

Do you have (blade) oil? They need to be kept cool through use depending on how long you use them (in one sitting). And yes, they definitely need to be sharpened, too!!
I would call either hair salon's, or pet grooming places to see where they get their blades done

@Mamaof2: Np! My experience is clipping animals (dogs, horses, lol) and now DH does his hair with clippers, so oil during use is probably not needed, but sounds like a sharpening will help

Hmm we've done DHs at home for over a year and oiled jut never sharpened. Could he have had food or something in his hair that got the blades grody?
