There is Jacoby Ellsbury of the Red Sox, and another Jacoby in the Baltimore ravens.
What sold DH in the name was the mathematician who developed the Jacobian theory.
Anyone famous share your LO's name?

His name is Jacob, just wave your hand in the air and you'll find someone with his name! We knew going into it that his name was really common but it has meaning to us and was worth the "oh...his name is so common though!" comments

@stargal: Awe thanks, I love it too (obviously, haha!) we had Jacob David (dad's name) and Lucas Daniel (hubs middle name) picked out and decided we wanted Jake but Luke will be our next boy, I'm convinced we'll have 2 boys...mainly so I don't have to deal with a 16 year old mini-me

@yoursilverlining: I have always wanted to use Eleanore after my grandma but it so does not sound good with the married last name. Even Ellie, which is what my grandpa called her when he was alive, doesn't go with it.

There is a cyclist on the US team that shares both his first and last names. We did a Google search when deciding, just to make sure we didn't choose anything with a negative association that we weren't aware of.

Not quite the same thing as what you all are discussing, but two of my husband's students have the same full names as celebrities. These aren't their names, but it's basically the same as if they are named "Bradley Cooper" and "Ben Affleck".
And when I was in college, I used to babysit a little newborn named "Luke Perry".

We chose LO's name because we are huge baseball fans and DH loved Brady Anderson when he played for the O's.
