I have been looking into dolls for LO's Christmas gift. She wants a baby girl and talks about it often. We have a tiny baby doll but I think she wants something a bit more lifelike.
I missed out on the Bitty Baby sales, (both on Zulily and today's). But as I was looking around, I found out about the Corolle dolls and I like the way they look more than the Bitty Babies. http://mamazakka.blogspot.com/2012/02/toy-review-american-girl-dolls-vs.html

we have a corolle doll. olive loved charlie's so much that we ended up getting the same for her. it is a little pricier, but it is a high quality doll.

We have the Yang Corolle doll. My daughter loves her and she is really a fantastic doll. I need to work on her matted hair, though...it's pretty bad. If I had planned on giving her a Corolle doll at the age I gave it to her (18 months) I would have given her a bald doll instead.
Are you looking at the Classique dolls for your daughter?

I didn't click on your link but we have one of the soft baby Corolle dolls and DD loves it! I think they have cuter faces than Bitty Babies. I want to get her another doll for when baby sister arrives and there are sooo many creepy ones out there, Corolle is a good bet.

LO has a Corolle doll. It's nice quality, though I don't think it's that much nicer quality than a few other baby dolls we've found online.

@mediagirl: Yes, the Classique dolls, specifically the Graceful Pink Although I do like the Calin Naima in the Premier collection, but that one is 2 inches smaller.
Is the vanilla smell really strong?

@mrsjazz: it's not very strong at all. I remember smelling it when we first got it but the smell has definitely gone away some since we have had the doll. It's not overwhelming. I'm pretty sensitive to smells, too.

@mediagirl: I just wish the doll had a little bit of hair! LO loves to pretend to brush hair, but then the dolls I find with hair look really cheap.

Got one for K after she try taking two other little girls'. It's definitely a very nice quality, and I'm sensitive to smell and I really don't smell anything unless I take a deep whiff. Just to snag one of the bitty babies so i'll be able to compare once it arrives. The only thing I do notice that we got the Asian Calin Mon Premier and the hair does seem like it will get matted eventually.

We have a corolle baby. It took LO a while to warm up because I think the fact that it was more lifelike freaked her out. She loves it now though. It's the only baby she pretends to nurse lol. She loves the smell. She cradles it saying 'mmmm!'

i've seen these at a toy store near where i live so i am considering one as a present for LO's bday or christmas. unless i find a cheaper option but have not looked around anywhere else yet.

I had an Addy as a child & I effed her hair up bad. I sent her to the American Girl hospital & at first they recommended a new head 
but they were able to fix it well enough to pass down to LO.
I am thinking of getting LO a Corelle doll for her birthday, to answer the question!
