I'm 18.5 weeks and I'm starting to feel movement pretty regularly. I know my husband would love to feel a kick but I can't tell yet if they can be felt from the outside. Every time I put my hand on my belly the baby stops moving!!

I'm also 18.5 weeks and I can feel her kicks on the outside but every single time my husband tries to feel it, she stops kicking! Maybe his touch relaxes her? Haha.

At first she was out little heat seeking missile. She'd go to wherever she felt warmth and kick at it. Sometimes she'd get scared and stop but usually she would give a hard kick. For a bit towards the end I did think she knew the difference between my hand and my husband's. We'd play games (or in my head we did) and I'd poke back at her and then she'd give 3 strong kicks but she was a lot more hesitant when it was my husband's hand.

In the earlier weeks yes, her movements werent consistent, I would tell Dh to put his hand over a spot and then she wouldnt kick anymore, but after week 22 she was much more consistent and would kick the same spot repeatedly. Lying down usually made her more active in there.

My boys stop moving when DH puts his hand on my belly! lol I think they're used to me "handling" them. They're getting better at letting daddy feel them move though lol. I don't think they have a choice at 30.5 weeks! - all their movement is translated to the outside at this point!

@MamaMoose: I was the same way! Since you can feel it on the inside it's hard for you to be able to tell if other can feel it from the outside! I actually was starting to get pretty bummed about this because my husband could never feel her kick! She would stop when either of us would try and feel her. Finally about 24-25 weeks or so my husband finally got to feel her kick!

@MamaMoose I think we're due around the same time if I am remembering your due date from another thread - my EDD is 11/23 (right before my birthday).
I've found that my husband gets his best luck when I keep a thin shirt over my stomach so it doesn't get too hot and just have him be patient to hold his hand during times I've found are activity high (sitting on the couch after 8 pm). He's felt a few here and there -the other day it was a kick and a punch at the same time!

My baby keeps on moving when I or DH put our hands on my belly, but whenever a friend asks to feel, Baby T shuts the show down immediately!

She used to stop kicking whenever my husband got close to me and put his hand on my belly. I found that hilarious. As you get further along, they'll get stronger and won't stop when you touched your belly. baby kicks are awesome.

Hah sometimes, but then he'll kick again. He's been super active at night the last few days. It's awesome. I feel like DH isn't as patient with waiting for the kicks as I am--I can literally sit there for a half hour with my hand on my stomach waiting to feel one of his kicks if he's in a quieter mood.

I'm 28w and LO doesn't stop moving if I put my hand on my belly but does whenever DH puts his hand on it. DD did the same thing; luckily he can see my belly jumping around but I wish he would get to feel at least one kick. We were lucky this time in that relatively early on (don't remember exactly when) I had a sharp pain in my upper side when I started rubbing it I felt a defined appendage (thinking foot) and DH did get to feel that.

My DH has only get to feel her a couple times even now at 25 weeks. I think he comes in too "hard" when he puts his hand down and it moves her or she gets startled and stops doing whatever it was that she was doing. When I do it I lightly as not to disrrupt her, I try to tell him to ease into it but he gets too excited when I tell him to come over when she's going crazy.
