Just wondering since my 8 week old is in Carter's 6M

I think so at the beginning! LO was wearing 3 month sizes right after she was born. 12 months seems true to size for us right now.

I think it depends on either where you buy them or what line they are (sleep and play or another one I can't think of). One of them runs really small and the sleeves are super short. The other one is pretty long and lean.

Yes. X is small (10th %ile or less in all measurements), and Carter's fits him pretty spot on. He moved into the 6 months size at 6 months, 12 month size at 12 months, etc. Every other brand, especially OshKosh and H & M, the same size is huge on him.

Depends! On where the carter is from and what style! Some stuff M is in 18 months and some in 12. Very weird sizing.

Probably depends...my 2 month old is still wearing Carter's newborn....

@regberadaisy: I agree.
Absolutely no rhyme or reason to Carter's sizing. I have some 0-3 that is too big and some 3-6 that are too small. It's so odd. LO is 4m.

Not for us. C can wear Carter's long after other brands don't fit anymore. Shes 100th percentile and still wearing 12m at 23lbs and 30" tall.

Lo is in the 90 th percentile so everything is small for her.

There's no rhyme or reason it seems. LO was in 3 month by 6 weeks, 6 month by 12 weeks, and is still straddling 6-9 months at 9 months old.

Well their 6 month is really 3-6 not 6-9 so your little guy is only about a month early in fitting the 6 month clothes.

I think the carters stuff you get at target runs small. M has always been able to wear regular carters clothes until one month after their set month designation. She is in the 50th percentile for weight and height.

@artbee: same. I just figured that it wasn't Carter's running small, but my baby running big.

I feel like Carters sizing is all over the place. At six weeks, we can still fit E into one or two newborn pieces, whereas there are others that she outgrew weeks ago.

I would say actual Carter's is pretty close to being true to size. DD is almost 6 months (50%ile weight, 75%ile height) and six months size fits perfect. Carter's from elsewhere is all over the place. My mom ought some jammies from Sam's Club and they look like 9 month not 6.

I've heard they are but D is 7 lbs 12 oz at 2 weeks and still swims in some of their newborn clothes. I just don't get it.

For my LO, carters sizing is just right. She is 3.5 months and the 3 no stuff is too small and 6 no stuff has room to grow. She is 60's % for weight and 90 for height so she is a little tall and skinny.

Yeah I think their clothes shrink like crazy. Every time I wash them they shrink a size.

Carter's has always run small relative to my LO. She's 8.5 months and wearing their 18 month clothes.
