Yep, and it always lasts longer than I think it will. Sorry R isn't feeling so hot. They wanted to do the boy's 12-month appt on Friday, and I vetoed because I knew the shots would make them feel bad Saturday. Luckily, R has a few days to bounce back. Poor baby girl!

About half of the time, yes. I remember it hit mid-101 after his 12 month shots, and stayed up for like 24 hours.

@Mrs. Blue: I didn't even think about the affects from the shots when we planned her party. In the past it has been 24 hours and then she is back to normal. So I hope this is the case.

Yea, J got a fever from his 12 month shots... none from his other shots though.

Yes, every series of shots she gets sick about 24-48 hours later. We've started to schedule them on Fridays because we know the next day she'll be feeling too bad to go to daycare. I hope she feels better soon! What a bummer to be sick around her bday

Only from her twelve month shots so far. She was spiking fevers all last weekend. I hope your LO feels better soon.

@Mrs. High Heels: these are awful! I don't know if it cause she is walking now but she just wants to be held if we touch her legs or arm she cries bloody murder. You can look at her and can see she doesn't feel good. So tired and fussy. Trying to get her asleep now, earlier then her bedtime.

@Smurfette: I know! J was so fussy after these shots... he felt bad for 48-72 hours after, and the location on his thigh where they put the MMR shot was red and round, looking like a small bruise.
Poor R - I hope she feels better by the time her party rolls around!

Poor R!
B usually runs a low grade fever for 24 hours or so after his shots.

She hasn't yet, but we've only had up to the 6 month shots. She just gets really sleepy and snuggly/clingy (depending how you choose to look at it).
As much as I'm sure the MMR shot sucks, I'm wishing she could have it already with the measles exposure in a town near us.

She ran a high fever, 103, after 6 month shots. I thougt she wasn't feeling well when I went to the doctor that day as she had a little cough and a stuffy nose but he still gave the shot. She just went downhill from there. It was really sad to see we so sick. I'm not sure if it would have happened regardless but wish we had rescheduled the shot. She ended up with a fever for two days and then a bad cold for a week.
Hope R is feeling better.
