I don't think anyone in my family has lived past 75 on both my parents' sides. So I always expected not to live that long.
Mr. Bee does have longevity running in his family on both sides. So hopefully that means he will outlive me!

I have one gramma who died at 72 from cancer. But both my grandfathers passed around 85. I have another gramma who is alive but fading and I think she's about 80.
One great grandparent lived til 92.
So I guess I'm all over the board with that.
DHs dad died of lung cancer at 52. But most his other family lived longer.

Yes, definitely. I had a great great grandmother that was 100 when I was born and lived to 104. I had 3 great grandmothers until just the last few years who lived to 105, 97 and 94. My great grandmother still has living siblings in their 90s also. But all my great grandfathers were not alive when I was born. All my grandparents are in their 80's and 90's and still doing well. My husbands side of the family... not so much. It scares me.

On my mom's side, women tend to live a long time. Men...not so much.
On my dad's side, it's similar. My grandmother lived to a very healthy 90 years old...then she died in a car accident.
On DH's side, men do not live long at all, but his father outlived his grandfather by 10 years (grandfather died at 48, father at 58) so we're counting on DH outliving his father by 10 years.

I'm not really sure. My grandparent are still pretty young (60s). One of my grandfather's passed away when he was 49.

Well, my grandpa (dad's dad) died of a heart attack before I was born. He was only in his early 50s. But all my other grandparents are in or lived into their 80s. So that's not bad! My great-grandma lived to 99.

Yes and no...my grandmothers are really old, possibly around 90? One of them is thriving, traveling internationally and doing her thing. But my mom died at 60.

My dad's parents died at 97 and 96, I think. Grandma outlived Grandpa by a few years and she delivered 11 kids!
My mom's dad died when she was a young girl, but her mom is still around and she's well into her 80s.
So... yes! Except my maternal grandfather.

It's split. The women on my dad's side live a long time. My great grandmother lived to 93 and my grandma is currently 85 I think? and still going strong. But the men on his side have all died young (in their 60s). My mom's parents both died relatively young (late 60s or early 70s).
But, I feel like the results are skewed due to smoking. Both of my grandfathers were smokers and died of lung cancer. My grandma was also a smoker and had a lot of related health problems (although she ultimately died of lymphoma-- but I still feel like her lifestyle was probably at last partially to blame).
My parents are both in their mid/late 50s and extremely healthy (knock on wood) so I hope they live another 40 years!

On my mom's side yes, my great grandma just passed away at 100 in her sleep. She never had a surgery and only suffered one stroke at 92. My dad's side has longevity, but it's not in the best health. All have had major health issues (joint problems, diabetes, dementia/Alzheimer's, ect.)

Women tend to live a good while in my family, my great grandma on my dads side passed at 94 and my great grandma on my moms side is still living at 96.

My great aunt is going on 104, but otherwise most older relatives have lived into early 80s to early 90s.

Yes, most have lived 80+ years old. I had great grandparents that were close to 90 I think.

It does on my maternal grandmother's side. My great grandparents lived well into their 90's, and my grandmother is 86 and still in good health.
My maternal grandfather died of brain cancer at 69, and I think his parents also died fairly young.
My paternal grandfather died of Luekemia when my dad was a baby, and my grandmother died in her late 70's of ovarian cancer. I don't know much else about my dad's side of the family.

My family doesn't. I have one remaining grandparent. She's 85 and in poor health. My mom's parents died at 65 and 70. My dad's dad past last year at 89.
DH's Dad is the youngest of 10, is 90 years old, and has four older sisters still kicking it.

My dads mom is still alive, 95 I think. She has outlived two of her children including my father who passed away at 65 (he smoked though) My dads dad also died in his late 80s early 90s if I recall. He had a stroke and was paralyzed and needed a nurse but he lived for over 20 years after the stroke. My moms dad died when she was young and I never knew him. My moms mom died when I was in high school close to her 90s I think as well. So I want to say yes?

My parents each lost a parent when they were in their early 70s. We lost my dad's dad this week at 2 months shy of 96 and my mom's mom is still alive and kicking at 93.

On my father's side, yes . . . my Grandma will be 104 this week (and all of her siblings died in the 95-105 range).

The women {on both sides} live quite long. My paternal grandma passed away last year at 100. My maternal grandma is 98 now, and my great-grandma passed away at 112!
The men? Not so much...

It seems like the women in my family have long lives, living at least into their 80s. One great-grandmother was still running her farm in her 80s (or maybe she was 90) when she just dropped dead (that's the way to go!).

Both of my grandmothers were around 85 when they passed. My grandfather was 95 and very healthy right up until the last few weeks or so. We all attribute it to his drinking a glass of red wine every night with dinner. 
My husband's grandparents are in their early 90's and they're just now starting to go downhill a bit health-wise.

Yes. My great grandmother on my father's side lived to be 102. His mother and father lived to their mid-80s. My great grandmother on my mother's side was 95 before she passed. Her mother and father are still going strong at 86 and 95, respectively. I worry about how long I'll live.

My side... Nothing exceptional. Lost my Grandad when he was... 55 or so. Lost my Grandma when she was in her early 70's. I have 2 grandparents left in mid/late 70's.
DH has one Grandma turning 95 this weekend!! His other Grandma managed to live for a long time as well. The men, not so much, but those were environmental factors at play. He might outlive me!

It's pretty split. It ranges anywhere from 55-90ish. As long as I'm in good health, I'd like to be around until at least my 80s.
