I'll admit it - we're kind of yuppies I guess in that we tend towards those types of trendy things. Our sons name is Liam, which I love and we're thinking of naming our girl Grayson, which I totally adore but do you think it's too trendy sounding? I think Gray is also a cute but edgy name for a teen girl...

But I tend to prefer masculine names for girls and do not particularly like any super feminine names!
My first choice girl name is actually a typical boys name which I have never heard of for a girl!

Grayson is pretty cool and catchy for a girls name. It is not girlish, but I could picture a girl being named Grayson without finding it wrong/misplaced. I think it's a good choice.

To me, it's a "boy name" because I went to school with a Graylon and a Grayson (not related, lol). So I automatically associate it with them. But it is a nice name, so if you see it as a girl's name then go for it. I see no reason not to. There are tons of gender neutral names out there.

Greyson is super popular right now, at least where I live, I have seen at least 6 of both genders in the past year (I have seen is about as much as Ava, Sophia, and the Aiden group of names)

I would change the spelling so it's less masculine--something like Graysen. I also agree with previous posters, it's a VERY popular name right now, I know of 4 recent Graysons, and one more on the way, all boys. As a girl with the name Erin, I got really tired of having boys named Aaron in my classes growing up--made me feel like I had a boy's name and I never once had a class with no other Aarons or Erins. I hated being "Erin P." instead of just "Erin." (just a personal rant on having a popular name growing up
)

As someone whose guilty pleasure is 'Drop Dead Diva', I would always think of Grayson as a more masculine name. Also, I don't know if I'd want to be called "Gray" as a young woman personally.
If you like the trendier namesbut want something girlier there is always Sophia, Eva, Emma, etc.

I've actually seen Gracyn for a girl, same pronunciation, but a little more feminine spelling since it plays off of Grace.

I like it, but think I'd use it for a middle name so she has the option of a feminine name. I think anything with '-son' is too masculine. IMHO

Hmm...I'm probably not the best to ask b/c I'm not a fan of trendy/yuppy names but I do sort of like Grayson for a girl's name. I'm not sure about the spelling...but I like the sound of it.
