Yup. He gets her when she wakes up in the night. He will go get her and bring her to me in bed. I'll feed her, laying down and then carry her back to her crib. It works out really well.

Yes...he was wonderful. I was pumping and bottle feeding by 3 weeks though, so he had a much more active role in feeding LO early. We would take turns to give each other a bit of a break.

DH will get up with P in the morning on some of his days off, and some morning while he's getting ready he'll sit on the bed with her and change her for me so I can get a few extra minutes of resting.

He doesn't do ANY night wakings though.... I think I can count only 5 times that he's rocked her back to sleep while we're still up even.

Oh well... he's a good daddy in every other area!

Yeah, he does it all the time when he's home - lo wakes up at 7/8 and dh takes him until his first nap at 9/10. I do do all the night wakings though. He'll bring him back in to nurse & then we sleep together

This weekend and last weekend I took LO so he got a break. He was getting resentful (and tired).

No - but we co-sleep and co-bed, and I am still BF at night. When I am up with LO in bed, DH will rub my back though.

my husband does the majority of the wake-ups, bless his heart lol. BUT, i'm pregnant and exhausted, and he is a saint and knows i need the rest :o)

Yup! Every weekday morning and one day on the weekend DH gets LO out of bed in the morning. It's awesome!!

My DH does the first half of the night for wakeups, so I can sleep a bit. By about 2am or so, I'll start the second half of the wakeups. Since I end up with the mornings usually, I like Sundays the best. LO and I watch CBS Sunday Morning together while LO plays on his play gym until he gets tired. I can't wait for STTN!

Nope. On the weekends though he'll take him once he wakes up to play so that I can get some extra sleep.

The only reason that he doesn't get up with LO at night is he doesn't hear him cry. He doesn't hear him unless he's actually in our room.

pretty much since the beginning DH does all the diaper changes during the night. only the first week that he went back to work, i did everything for a few days and was so tired that he just started getting up everytime L woke up to do diaper change so i could sleep a bit more, then i feed. and if i have trouble putting him back to bed, then DH would help, but that didn't happen often during night wakings.

now that L STTN, DH gets up for the first diaper change in the morning while i get ready to feed. on weekends he tries to let me sleep in more by getting a bottle ready (EBM), but if i wake up before L eats, then i just get up to feed. ..... so basically DH is amazing with helping out at all times i think.

When DD used to get up in the middle of the night, I would get up because I always nursed her then put her back down. If she doesn't fall right back to sleep (which happened a lot from 1-4 months) then DH would take over to soothe her. Now I get up with DD when she wakes for her morning nursing session then hand her off to DH to change her, feed her breakfast and hand off to grandma before he gets ready for work. Depending on when DD gets up, I usually can go back to sleep for. Bit before I get ready for work. It's nice and DD gets some exclusive daddy daughter time. =)

He gives her a night bottle while I get up a pump. It's a decent arrangement, but I hate asking him to get up while he isn't feeling well.

Yes, I did and do. When LO wakes up in the morning, I get him, change his diaper, and bring him to our bedroom for feeding. We're swaddle-weaning right now, so I was up about five times last night alone!

It wasn't until this past week, week and a half that DH has been helping out with DS (a year old). It has been -huge- not having to put him to bed and doing the middle of the night feeds. Very helpful, especially since I'm around 38 weeks along!
