My DH works out and his ring was giving him blisters.
He got a tattoo on his ring finger a couple years ago.

yep, he just takes it off when he gets from work. works out at home too~
pomelo / 5469 posts
Yes, but... he is constantly playing with it. He's always dropping it on the floor, last time was at our last midwife appt! grrr. I thought when he got use to wearing it (it's been 9mths now) he'd stop doing it!
honeydew / 7589 posts
Yep, he hardly ever takes it off. It's pretty much indestructible so he doesn't worry about it very much.
eggplant / 11716 posts
yup. I think he only takes it off when he showers. It took him a good month after marriage to get used to it though.
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
Yep. I'm not sure he's ever actually taken it off...
nectarine / 2636 posts
Yes, he never takes it off. Although, he did lose it while tubing the first year we were married. He has a cheap ring now, haha.
pineapple / 12802 posts
Yes. It's too big for him though and always falls off. He also takes it off to work out and when he works.
watermelon / 14206 posts
Yep...he took it off once when he cut his ring finger just above it, but it was only off for a day or so. I've been without mine longer, cause of these crazy swollen fingers. I'm dying to get it back on again!

DH would if he could find his... It's been missing now for about, oh, six to nine months. Hopefully we'll find it in the move. Otherwise we're getting a replacement one for him in a few months for his birthday. The guy actually misses his! Which I find really cute.

Nope, we bought like 3 different metals to see if any didn't react to his skin and apparently he is allergic to every one of them. So no ring. It kind of sucks though because his most recent ring was 500 and I'd like to trade it back to get something for myself....
pomelo / 5257 posts
Yup, 24/7. I don't think he's even taken it off in weeks. Right after we got married he wasn't wearing it all the time because it was a little loose and he was worried about losing it. We got it resized while on our honeymoon and it fits perfectly now, so he wears it all the time!

DH does only when he goes out. once he gets home he takes it off. then loses it. He always loses it!
GOLD / squash / 13464 posts
Yes! But neither of us wear our rings when we are home. We drop them in a little cup in our kitchen when we get home from work and pop them back on when we go out again.
pomegranate / 3604 posts
Yep! He takes it off to play hockey and if he's, like, mixing meat or something.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
Nope and it makes me crazy. In his defense, he works construction and can't wear it to work so he's not in the habit of wearing it.
nectarine / 2054 posts
Yes, he never takes it off (I think!). I wear mine out of the house, but usually not all day when I'm just in the house.
pomegranate / 3521 posts
He only takes it off to shower. He forgot it on his way to work two days ago and drove home to grab it and brought coffee and breakfast to me in bed . I hope he forgets it more often.

always (including 15-20hrs a week at the gym). getting a ring he could wear while working out was a requirement for us, i'm a territorial wife =D he wanted to start wearing his ring as soon as we got it, even before we were married, which i thought was kind of weird, but hey, if he wanted to wear a mangagment ring, all the power to him!

@chopsuey119: a wedding ring tattoo is cool.
My DH wears his all the time. My dad almost lost his finger due to his ring and he therefore never wears his, and he's the most committed family man I know. So rings aren't that big of a deal to me.
@Lemonlong: I also forget to put my on! Once they're off and tucked away, I just forget.
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6703 posts
Yup. He only takes it off if I have him help me with something messy in the kitchen.
Funny aside - before we were married he asked me if he had to wear one because he didn't think he'd like to wear a ring. His dad doesn't wear his wedding ring, so DH thought it might be optional...not optional to me!
pomelo / 5093 posts
Never takes it off, but he does play with it a lot. He's got boney fingers, so I worry that he'll lose it. It has our wedding date in binary on it, so it'd be really sad to lose it.
persimmon / 1035 posts
yes, but he switches it between hands when it starts to bother him
kiwi / 733 posts
Yes, taking it off to sleep, shower, and sometimes at the gym...although a few months ago it got lost in his bag at the gym and he thought he had lost it, so he might be keeping it on now!
pomegranate / 3895 posts
Nope. We kind of knew he wouldn't so we just got a $40 one on Etsy. And no, it doesn't bother me in the least....it doesn't make him any less married
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
Yep, when he comes home he takes it off but otherwise wears it whenever in public
pear / 1786 posts
No, he has never worn it. He's just not a jewelry guy at all & it could be dangerous with his work.
persimmon / 1396 posts
Nope, he doesn't wear it to work since it is a hazard. He is really good about putting it on when we go out of the house. He forgot it one day and I told him it looks like I am running around on my husband. Since then I have never had to remind him. Its actually kinda sweet now that I think out it....
