My in-laws do and I absolutely hate it! There isn't even any kids and they do this. There's so many gifts so it literally takes forever! DH hates it too and says it's not a long standing tradition, just something his dad thought was fun so everyone can see what each other got. My first Christmas with them, one of the things I got DH was a video game - MIL and SIL acted like I was illiterate and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, only it was for a grown ass man! I can understand if there were kids ... Sigh.

Does your family take turns opening gifts? Is it tradition?
