I always did growing up but DH didn't... we always "fight" about wether or not we will watch it that year...we always do!

Nope, we don't. I don't like to watch parades on TV, i prefer to see them live.
I used to live around the corner from the location where they blew up the balloons, so I used to see them there.

I like to have it on in the background while getting stuff ready. And DD loves music, so I'm sure she will be dancing along this year!

We'll watch it if it's on, but we don't sit around the tv and purposed turn it on to watch.

@Mrs. Sunshine: it's the same situation here. I normally turn it on though and dh just complains about it, which is exactly what happened again this year.

@Miss Ariel: my DH is in control of the TV 80% of the time and my kids the other 20% so I get really miffed when he whines about 2 hours of a Thanksgiving tradition that doesn't even interfere with the football he wants to watch! lol

@Mrs. Sunshine: that's about what happens here. We only have a dvr in the living room which means my tv shows get taped, but I rarely get to watch them. At least I'm on maternity leave now so I can go through them during the day.
