Our current house doesn't have curb appeal, at all. Sure, there is a white picket fence and some nice landscaping but the house itself is ick. Very 1960's. Our neighbors are renters and have trashed the house next to ours. Literally, trash everywhere...they even throw it in our yard.
Luckily our new house is pretty on the outside! I'm so READY to move - 7 days!!!

Yup, now that there's houses built along side and in front of it. Beforehand it was just next to a big untamed lot. Ugly!

Yes and no. We have a very cute house and yard... but most of the houses on our street look the same so I think that cuts some of the appeal

Yes! We added landscaping and lighting in the outside. At some point I want to paint the garage, front door and house numbers for even more contrast.

Sort of. We all have similar houses but our yard right now looks great. Our bushes are fluffy, the phlox is in bloom and our mulch is fresh. It is the best looking yard on the street right now (if I do say so myself).

We're getting there. The previous owners didn't do much in the way of landscaping, so we are slowly making the yard look better, and will be replacing the roof/shutters within the next year or so.

Yes! We've got the best yard on the street (I can say that because DH worked his butt off on it!). Nice bushes, freshly planted flowers, DH keeps the yard cut, we've got a happy red front door with a hanging plant and big wreath. It's very springy.
Our neighborhs, not so much..so unfortunately our yard suffers by default because theirs is so crappy.

Our new house does, the owners kept it up well. I would like to add some flower beds in the front yard,, maybe next year when I have a better idea of how much sun we get there.
Our street is nice, the neighbors keep everything up well too.

It's ok. We've been working to get the flower beds how we like them. We have pale bricks and peachy brown trim and garage. I want to paint our trim and garage off white, our shutters charcoal grey, and our door red. I think that will greatly improve our curb appeal.

Yay for moving soon! The house we'll be moving into has great curb appeal because the HOA maintains the entire front landscaping and the house was built in 2012.

No. We have a nice house but it's been poorly taken care of over the years. We're trying to fix this but it doesn't help that we have work trucks parked near/on the drive way all the time. Our front door needs to be replaced so badly because one of the window panes is shattered due to a rock flying up while DH trimmed the lawn. Our shingles need to be replaced and our driveway is in rough shape because my husband runs a lawn care business out of our garage and the equipment is hard on the cement. Thankfully, we always have a nice lawn....

Nope. We aren't done landscaping the front just yet. And the people that own the house to the right of us have a yard full of weeds that they mow once or twice a year. We're building a short block wall to separate our yard from the neighbors....

Kind of! We replaced all the old masonite with something much sturdier and painted it a nice color (beige with brown accents). Then the following year, we hired a landscaping company to redo our flowerbed. The flowerbed is still weak as far as growth goes, but can't wait till it's fuller!

Nope! But I plan to get it painted once we're ready to sell. Its a boring one story brick house (from the street). Maybe we should sell in April at some point, because the magnolia tree out front is beautiful

@littlek: I love your house! Super cute! We looked at houses like that when we were tempted to move to the South. They don't have many that look like that up here in the Pacific NW.
@mrs.lemon-lime: I think it's only that active because it's a custom designed community (kind of a small city within a city) and every house and yard has to look somewhat similar.

Not at all! We've been so focused on renovating the interior (total gut job) that we haven't bothered at all to spruce up the exterior. Definitely time to do a little gardening, and hopefully sometime in the next year we can replace all the siding which will go a long way in helping the curb appeal!

@alie: if we stayed in our current home, new siding would have made a worlds difference with curb appeal! We have vinyl siding and although I didn't mind it when we bought the house, it quickly grew into something I hate.
