We live in a duplex and the top floor has bars on the window... the bottom floor is kind of underground. Anyway it does make me feel a lot safer, especially now that we have kids!
Does your house/apartment have bars on the windows?

There are security doors the doors in the back of the house. Kinda ugly but it makes me feel safer!

My old apt did because we were on the ground floor . Now we are basically 3rd floor so unless spiderman wants to rob me, I think we are good.
We don't have screens in the windows, though, so once the baby is here and can pull themselves up to the window we will have to figure something out.

We don't but all of DH's family in Spain do. Pretty much every house there has bars.

Nope, our house does have an alarm system though, so that is comforting. Also, all the bedroom windows are second story and no one can get to them without a ladder.

No need here, but a crazy lady across the street does. She is quite the recluse!
I think a lot of people here don't even lock their houses and some leave their keys in the car. I think that's asking for trouble, but it is safe here.
Our house has security cameras and a security system. My main worry is making sure that no one is in the pool area because I don't want anyone to get injured or drown!

nope, we don't, but with the number of kids you hear about falling out of windows, i kind of wish we did!
