mainly on us before 2 months but now will spend some time on her mat. She's also a tummy sleeper so when she's awake she will lift her head as high as she can and look around to see where we are!

@Mrs.Waffles: right there with you! DD is 6 months old and has always hated tummy time. Also had no interest in rolling over but has done it a few times when she gets really mad and wants to get off her tummy. It's hard not to worry but I keep telling myself that she's on her own timeline!

@Beth24: Yes, the doctor told me the same thing. She said all babies develop at their own rate. I just wish he would develop a love for tummy time. LOL.

She doesn't mind tummy time. She is rolling so when she's tired of tummy time, she rolls to her back.

@sorrycharlie: My 3 week old is the same. Been lifting her head since birth--definitely a little creepy. She lays on my chest and then she'll raise her tiny head and sometimes bob it around. She hates tummy time on her activity mat.

When I remember... which isn't often. Luckily they do tummy time at daycare, so he gets it in! He's not really a fan of tummy time unless it's on our chest. If he's on the activity mat, he gets annoyed quickly.

in the beginning tummy time required a lot of encouragement songs and praise. But 6 months in I'm glad I stuck with it. Once she learned to roll from back to tummy she loved being on her tummy. I now put down a large blanket and several toys and she just rolls from toy to toy. It's like once she controlled being there it wasn't so bad.

Sometimes. DS isn't a huge fan of it. Apparently carrying them in an upright sling works the same muscles. We do that so I'm not worried.
